Question about Panasonic KX-TG6572R Dect 6.0 Expandable Digital Cordless Phone with Talking Caller ID & Answering System - 2 Handset Pack in Wine Red, KX-TG6572-R, KXTG6572R, KX-TG6572R, KXTG6572-R
I have followed the instruction manual to turn off the voice mail feature but handset still reads "new VM". My phone carrier offers this but I do not subscribe to it. How do I get rid of this display?

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Your email integration requires a TVA product with a LAN card. One comes in the 200 and it's optional in the 50. There is also a feature called message waiting notification that does not send the file, only the fact that there's a message. It requires a little bit of setup at the sytsem level, then it's adjustable at the user end by 52 and 53 commands.
Please be sure that your system administrator restricts the class of service that the VM uses to do notification if you turn it on. Many people have hacked into voice mail systems and called the world because the toll restriction was missing from this group.
If you need a manual or further instructions, please post back.

SOURCE: how do I set up voicemail
The voice mail extension is dependent on the system it's installed.
In a TA series, the extensions are either 107 or 115. An 848 could use 165, 500 or whatever number the installer assigned.
Your best bet is to go to the "back room" and find the Panasonic branded phone system and voice mail..if there is one, and post back.

You have to check DIL in the 400 series on the 1232/816. This may be done by TRUNK GROUP or Line number. So if it is line one doing this, simply find Day DIL and if it asks for line number place 01. It will show an extension number typically 165. Hit the transfer button then hit the store button. Now this can also be done under intercept with the rings set to 1 ring. That is in the same area and the procedure is the same. You should first find what TG the line is in first, then do this. Now I am sure you want the VM to answer at some point so I would place that in the intercept Day and Night and set it for say 4 rings. By the way, these particular settings are not normally customer settings. I may also advise you to contact someone who can quickly make the changes for you.
