SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: HOW TO RESET TO FACTORY SETTINGS

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, and best wishes from all of us (two-legged and four-legged) to you and your family for a wonderful holiday season. I have to be honest, I am not a big fan of the holiday season and its emphasis on gift-giving, Santa Claus, and gigantic lighting displays. No matter what your religious beliefs may be, these holidays should be more about the message of peace and love, perseverance and miracles than retail sales and gaudy displays. With so much conflict and suffering from wars, famine, earthquakes, tsunamis, and hurricanes it is especially important this year to keep that message in mind and work to achieve that world of peace and love. My youngest granddaughter, Gracie (we call her lil'G to distinguish her from her granny), had her first sleep-over away from mom last night. Her biggest pal is Hammerhead. He doesn't stray more than a few feet from her when she visits. When I came home from work, Gracie squealed with delight at seeing her friend and Hammer was a total wiggle worm. Bulldogs love kids and it doesn't matter how much abuse lil'G heaps on him, he just responds with a lick on her face, eliciting another squeal. We are a retail establishment and notwithstanding my sentiments above we have enjoyed a big boost in sales for the holidays. We've been jammed in the retail store and the guys in the warehouse have been loading UPS trucks to the brim with iPods, Macs, digital cameras, and all kinds of accessories. We expect next week to be almost as busy as people buy the gifts they didn't get, spend year-end money for tax purposes, and spend gift certificates. We'll be open all week, including Monday. Our retail store will be open tomorrow, Christmas Eve, from 10 to 4 for all those hardcore procrastinators. Without any doubt, the iPod was the gift of the season. We were fortunate to have a good selection of iPods both of the current versions and discontinued and used iPods to satisfy just about everyone. It was fun to answer the phones this week and surprise people when they asked if we had iPods left. I talked to a lot of Kibbles & Bytes readers who recognized me. I particularly enjoy talking to those that say they read Kibbles every week, never agree with any of my soapboxes and yet take pains to tell me how much they like the newsletter and Small Dog. We have a white Christmas here in Vermont, with a winter storm warning for today and Christmas day. The valley is full of skiers and we'll surely see a bunch of those SUVs from the city off the roads, making for krills and plugged krills. What's a krill? It's a **** Mountain word that we invented to describe the mark that a car makes when it gets stuck in the snow on the side of the road. A plugged krill is where the car is still there. There are a lot of rumors and guesses leading up to Macworld in a couple of weeks and the excitement is building. I'm heading out to the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas before I go to Macworld. I got a call from a public radio station looking for a "reporter" on the newest technology at these shows, so I'll be giving a one-hour segment on WILL when I get back. I guess I'd better grab brochures for some of the non-Apple stuff. This time I seem to have as many meetings with vendors at CES as I do at Macworld, which is a very unscientific way of saying that Apple is having cross-platform appeal

SOURCE: what buttons resets monitor to factory settings

For best picture, you need to set your PC resolution to 1280 x 1024 @60Hz which is the native rsolution for this monitor. The Factory reset should be in the on screen menu setup.
User manual: http://www.retrevo.com/support/HannsG-HU171D-Monitors-manual/id/23256bh634/t/2/

Unless there is the problem inside the monitor.

SOURCE: vertical lines accross the screen

Vertical lines running down the screen is indicative of a data failure to the screen itself, which means either the screen is starting to fail or the data being transmitted through the data cable is being interferred with. Put a hand on either side of the monitor and give the monitor a light twist....does the line disappear? or do more lines appear...in either case, there is a problem where the data cable attaches to the lcd panel itself. You can try to change out cables, if that doesn't correct it, then the panel may have to be replaced. If you have the option of trying the computer on another monitor that would be the first step in seeing where the problem lies.

My touch screen isn't working properly. Especially around the edges.

May need recallibrating which is somewhere in menu settings.this will allow you to correct the sensitivity and surface area to the right parameters.if not menu show a recallibration choice then it was factory set and the ribbon cable or digitizer part of screen is faulty.this is more likely with screens that tilt and swing from camera body.not knowing the make and model of camera doesn't help me make a better answer.

Viewsonic uses cheap caps in their monitors, so look for bad caps with bulging top, replace them in a set.

Hi I have a ViewSonic VE710S flat screen monitor model VS10047. the left side of the monitor is darker than the right side. Do you know what I will have to do to fic it?

My recommendation is to reset your monitor settings to original factory state. Here's the download link for your monitor user guide manual. there's an instruction how to reset your monitor to original state.

http://tom.viewsonic.com/pdf/userguides/ve710b-4_ug_eng.pdf

note: if nothing happen after resetting it, you need to contact your manufacturer. the lcd monitor is broken.

Good luck,

Viewsonic VX2235wm Horizontal Image Problem

Tricky one. Have you tried using different dispay resolutions from your Windows Display Control Panel?
ie 1200x1014, 1600x1400, etc.

When you say you used the manual adjust, do you mean the horizontal sync option?

Did you perform a Settings Recall?

And most monitors have a way of entering into an engineering "Factory Service Menu". Usually by depressing specific buttons while the monitor is OFF, and then pressing the power button while still holding the others. Then let all button go at once. From there, hit the normal button that you use for getting into the OSD. In the OSD, there's usually a new field with all kinds of cool new settings to play with. One of them being a soft reset. You'll have to search the net for how to enter into your Factory service menu.

Oh wait! I know!
If your picture has moved to the right, move yourself accordingly.
So that now you and your picture will be aligned properly.

He he he...
Kidding!
That one was from ViewSonic customer support.

I have viewsonic 2230wm screen and it has gone white Put another screen onto PC it is ok , so fault with monitor

Check video cable to ensure all pins are straight. If the cable is detachable, try a different video cable.

Check the OSD menu settings (contrast, brightness, color adjustments). use the reset option to reset the monitor back to factory settings.

Check the user's guide to see if any special conversion connector or adapter is required for proper signal continuity between your specific video card and your model of LCD.

If that doesn't work, you have pretty much exhausted the things a user can do with it. here is the support contact form for Viewsonic: http://www.nohold.net/noHoldCust18/Prod_4/KnowledgePortal/KPScripts/Route.asp?RouteID=28&surveytype=4
