Question about Canon PIXMA MP600 all-In-One InkJet Printer
I have removed the paper and it is still displaying this error. I have looked in the front, back, and center of printer and see no paper inside. There was a small piece that tore off, I thought I got it all & can't see anymore. How do I get inside this printer to make sure all pieces are out? Or, is it displaying this error code erroneously even when there is no paper in it? Thanks.
Pixma MX860. Got a "Paper output slot. The paper is jammed. Clear the paper and press OK" message. This happened out of the box new. The solution was the replacement of the printer. Cannon is sending a tested model and providing return postage to return the defective unit.

Im having the same problem..talked to tech support and he said that its a sensor error with the printer. he advised me to either get a new printer or go to the nearest repair place, an hour and a half away, and get it fixed.

See if you can unplug the printer, and reach down to the feed rollers and turn them by hand. Don't force it, but you might be able to spit some more paper out. Then look for little black flags that the paper rubs up against and moves (these are sensor flags). If you had ripped a piece of paper out, the paper could have snagged on one of these and broken it.
