I'm trying to change the blade on my Plasplugs tile wet saw, after not having used it for over three years. No matter what I do, I can't get the nut off! I've tried WD-40, graphite, hammering...

Try rotating the nut COUNTER-CLOCKWISE.

Usually, nuts and bolts are Righty-Tighty, Lefty-Loosy, but frequently saw blad nuts use a Lefty-Tighty, Righty-Loosy.

They are built so that when the blade starts to turn, it puts a momentum on the nut that tightens it, so that a loose nut won't come flying off, and get someone injured.

Propane tank release

The threads on a propane grill are left hand threads. You would turn the handle as if you were trying to tighten a normal thread. Normal is righty tighty, lefty losey. This is righty to losey for your BBQ bottle.

How do replace a chuck on a black-decker cordless drill

you must open the chuck all the way and the screw is in the back inside the chuck this is a left screw which means its righty loosey and lefty tighty; unlike normal righty tighty and lefty loosey.

2001 vw passat clutch fan replacement

Usually it takes a bench vise and a pipe wrench to turn the fan off the water pump. Also I think these are reverse threads too. Its tough to break it loose either way. You will need to keep the water pump from turning and gently with increasing force break it loose. sometimes some WD-40 helps too. It does take quite a bit of OMMPF to get it off. I am not sure on your model, but be aware it may be Lefty tighty righty loosey instead of the traditional lefty loosey and righty tighty as well. Also sometimes if you take it to the place where your getting your new parts they will he-man it off for you as well, but they may not want to take the liability. Good luck to you.

SIncerely,

JC
