Do i hook up speakers to amp or mixer

You hook them up to the last item in the chain.

If you are mixing instruments into the amp, then the speakers go to the amp.

If you are mixing amplified sound (unlikely), through a mixer, then speakers to the mixer.

No sound out of my speakers model 5269480

on your amp under the back seat their are 2 plugs the one on the left which is the smaller of the 2 there is a Tan wire w/Orange stripe on it hook the remote wire from stereo plug which will be blue w/white stripe to that wire so it will power-up your amp...Bottom line, no amp = no sound, unless you figure what wires are the speaker wires and hook directly to your stereo plug............Its an easy fix

How to hook up a gemini amplifier?

typically (unless your useing other gear besides mixer and amp) you'd come out of the L/R outs. ( Main outs ) to the Main inputs of the power amp then out to your speakers (outs of power amp). Now the amp could be in bridge mono or other factors but typically, like i said, just
Mixer Out- Amp In- Amp Out- Speakers.

When car is hooked up I get visuals, lights. etc. but no sound transmits from the stereo to speakers. I have checked all speaker connections and RCA jacks, along w/ amp and subwoofer and all are connected...

The illumination wires (orange, not yellow. Yellow is for 12 volt in) would not have an effect on sound. Either the internal amp is blown or you have a shorted speaker which is preventing the internal amp from turning on. Disconnect all speakers and hook a KNOWN GOOD one to an output. I f you get sound, the problem is in the car, if not, the problem is in the radio. If you accidentally crossed two of the speaker wires or let one touch a chassis ground, you blew the amp.

Only door speakers have sound on the cd mode

the amp requires a 12 volt power constant, and a 12 volt "on" signal. you prolly have the 12 v "on" hooked up to the car stereo's antennae remote, meaning your amp gets power when the radio is on, cuase the radio is sending a signal to the amp (thinking that it is sending a signal to the antennae to raise)

you do have one of those collapsable antennas, right?

Speakers dropping out & engine sounds

sounds like your amp is bad

remove the amp and hook your speakers directly to the radio if the problem stops
then the amp might be messed up

if you got another radio try the amp with that radio to "double" check that it is the amp

if the problem is still there with the speakers hooked to the radio then you need to fix or get another radio

Speaker Hook Up - Non-Technical (single) Female

bought the same amp second hand and had same problem as there are two seperate amp chips inside one for front speakers and one for the centre and rears it could be the actual amp chip that drives the front speakers has died as there is no built in speaker protection so over driving these speakers will result in the amp chip blowing . it may be something simple but it was not on mine had to buy new amp chip and solder in that sorted the problem for me !
