It depends on what software you do use and your email provider. Mostly, they have an online documentation, so you can google it and read their documentation.

Accessing my bellsouth email account on samsung galaxy

Set your mail settings as below, but do it while you're connected to WiFi rather than cellular data.

    Incoming mail server type: POP3
    Incoming (POP): pop.att.yahoo.com
Incoming User Name: Full AT&T email address, including domain (e.g. yourname @ bellsouth.net, but without the spaces... the forum won't let me type it correctly because I'm new here)
Incoming mail port #: 995, secure connection (SSL) checked

Outgoing (SMTP): smtp.att.yahoo.com, with authentication (same user and password as POP)
Outgoing User Name: Full AT&T email address, including domain (e.g. yourname @ bellsouth.net)
Outgoing mail port # 465, secure connection (SSL) checked

Just received new Att email account with U-verse signup. Trying to set up email thru Outlook 2000. Need to know the ''Incoming mai (POP3)'' name and ''Outgoing mail (SMTP)'' name. Please assist. Email...

If you looking for POP3 SMTP Mail Servers then it would be
AT&T WorldNet incoming mail server: postoffice.worldnet.att.net
AT&T WorldNet outgoing mail server: mailhost.worldnet.att.net
    or
    incoming mail (POP3) -> ipostoffice.worldnet.att.net

Just for POP, I think should be somethinnd like
    MemberID@att.net
    or
    pop.att.yahoo.com

    Incoming Mail Server (POP3):
    Host Name: ipostoffice.worldnet.att.net:995
    User Name: your_username@worldnet.att.net

    Good luck

How can u transfer incoming e- mails to my folder

    - You can just manually drag and drop using your mouse pointer.

    - Or you can make a set of rules so that incoming email should automatically transfer to that folder. Depending on what email client you are using rules can be set up according to your preferences. Refer to your users manual on how to set rules within your email client.

don't know what e-mail service you're using, but check if you have incoming filter set too high! also, check firewall settings! may be blocking incoming e-mail!
    good luck!
