My Sandisk m240 will turn on when I hit the power/menu button, but it gets stuck on the initial screen. It will not display the menu or play any music. When I plug it in to my computer, my computer does not recognize it; I can't open any of its files. Is there any way to fix this problem?

It will turn on but freezes at the opening screen. Cannot access the
menu whatsoever. I've tried plugging it into USB in the back, removing
the battery, sliding the Hold button to the right as advised in forum
suggestions but nothing budges it from the opening screen. Also: it
does not show up as being attached to any computer I plug it into. Got
a fix?

You can try to reset the device by pressing the power button for about 15 to 20 seconds..if that doesnt work I would recommend you to go to the sandisk site to update the firmware on your device or you can contact sandisk to they can help you with updating the firmware on your device..Please follow the link below to get the firmware

Folks: Turn ON your Sandisk m240 MP3 Player and go to the 'Menu' and select 'Settings', then go to 'USB' and select 'MSC'. After that, connect the m240 to your computer and it'll recognize your Sandisk m240.
