Question about Magic Chef Microwave Ovens
I can not find a replacement microwave oven the size; 22" high X 13 1/2" heigh X 16" deep. Where can I find one this size?
<-- I could have given you some specific detailed repair information if you had included the full model number as shown on the tag on the oven (not from the manual).
And if FixYa would inform us experts when as persons responds to a request for more information, we could reply back quickly.
But since (for some reason) they won't, you'd have to post a new help request.
And if you do, please be sure to include the full model number from the tag on the oven, and exact symptoms - what it's doing or not doing, and when.
BUT I CAN offer some GENERAL advice: Contact your microwave manufacturer's customer service line ask them if they have a "drop-in replacement" for your model.
Or you may want to try Sharp first, since they have their microwaves classified by size, and that really helps! Sharp is the first brand I'd recommend.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Hi.. It sounds as if you have a Chassis diode that is failing in your Microwave. Intermittent fuse blowing can also be cause by a misadjusted door interlock micro switch. Also you can have the large capacitor inside your microwave chasiss that is occasionally shorting out from use. Based what you described here there is no need to replace the entire unit. Have it repaired as the cost of repair vs replacement are somewhat reasonable.

Called GE Customer Service (thanks MicrowaveSvc), as they were very helpful. The replacement microwave (GE) is: JEB1860DMWW with new trim kit: JX2030DMWW. This are P/N for white, I am sure they have something for other than white. Total job took me about 5 hours (self install, moderate ability), where the final 1 to 1.5 hours was working on the final trim kit install. Couple of notes. This oven is about 6 to 8 inches deeper. The kit wanted about 1.5 inches more horizontal space than my original install, but I made it work. I had to shimmy the vertical space by 1 inch. Good Luck!!!

Pretty easy to change.Maybe cash and carry would be a little cheaper, or even trying an appliance dealer to see if they can get the same thing. Perhaps contacting manufacturer of microwave directly will help. (www.dometicusa.com) There was some recalls on some of the models. Are you sure it's not just sitting in an opening above the range hood. Most are just 4 screws or so, and out they come from opening above that.
