Question about Computers & Internet
I assume you mean it's in sleep mode and you can't get it out? Or you wish to put it into sleep mode, or perhaps you want to take a nap yourself? One word problems are very hard to solve.
If it's in sleep mode, take out the battery, unplug the AC, hold down the power button for 1 minute. Put the battery back in, attach the AC adapter, and press the power button. That should fix it. Putting it into sleep mode is generally done by pressing the power button for a second. And napping is generally done by putting your head down on your desk and closing your eyes.

SOURCE: need to unlock BIOS password
Unfortunately there is no easy fix. Removing the CMOS battery does not work nor are there jumpers on the MB. The only way to get it reset is to go to an authorized Toshiba dealer or repair facility and have them do it. This is going to cost you since normally it is not covered under warranty.

SOURCE: toshiba l300d bios battery
Most laptops require a complete strip down to the mobo to replace cmos battery. I do not recommend other than technicians to perform this task as there are some very frail components that break easily.
I wonder why you wish to replace battery in the first place?
If laptop works and the clock keeps time then do not touch which aint broke!

SOURCE: forgot password for bios
Hi Arthur Clarke,
Did you set the BIOS password for your notebook or was it set automatically by the computer? Anyway, to solve this problem, you may need to bring out your system to a near Toshiba ASP.
If you need further assistance or information regarding your problem, call Toshiba Tech Support (800-457-7777). Hope this helps.
