Keeps dropping WiFi signal!!!!! How can i prevent this from happening?????

Move to a place where the signal is better. WiFi only drops out when the signal becomes too weak.

The other possibility is a break in service from your wifi provider. When the wifi drops, quickly look at the wifi signals available, and if your is not there, take a quick screenshot. When you have 6 of them, contact your provider and complain.

Picture and sound breaks for a split second on Dstv on a regular basis. Signal strengh 85%. Signal quality 100% but it drops to 40% and jumps back to 100%

Digital signals do not have the robust characteristics of the older, analog signals; analogous to the sheet metal of older cars versus the paper thin junk on new cars. The slightest obstruction can be responsible for signal wavering, even a tree leaf or rain in signal path. That is why it is good to get as strong a signal as possible into your set and a good sensitive tuner. Try adding a drop amp into the line but be careful not to provide too much amplification lest you overload the tuner input circuits. Need to experiment. Might also consider moving your antenna to different location and carefully aiming it for strongest signal from your most important stations.

What causing that the Wi-Fi connecting at Windows8 faled every few minutes.???

Hi
The normal cause for WiFi failing regularly, dropping out, is due to distance from the WiFi signal source. This distance is not just feet and inches but also dependant upon the nature of objects between the signal source and the receiver. I recently found a case where the signal source had been put behind a large modern TV, and the WiFi signal in the next room was so slow and intermittent that the internet was unusable. Moving the router in front of the TV (in a position where it did not obstruct the picture!!!) cured the problem and they now have fast WiFi internet.

Why does my unit not work after a (paid) update?

Have you been able to get satellite connections (signals) when you're outdoors ? and not under/around tall buildings or overhanging obstructions.
Regularly get QuickGPSfix update (using TomTom HOME) to download the latest satellite positions (for the next 7 days), to enable your GPS to find the satellites quicker.

Hi. Try relocating the router. A router's signal is usually in a shape of an upside down apple (imagine the router in the middle.. weak signal directly up and directly down). Many things can interfere with its signal like carpets, radio's, halogen lamps, aquariums etc. The best place where you can locate it is on a shelf about a foot higher than you. :-)

My adapter speed never goes over 11Mpbs even though it did on another computer and when I first connected it to this laptop. The signal strength is excellent and never drops out. Is it a software problem?

Laptop computers has more restrictions than any other regular desktop computers.

You may need to check if the firewalls in your laptop is enable. Using any wireless device will best work if the firewall setting in the laptop is disable.

Hope this help!

Your, ahem..., your Regular Signal?

Please describe this more in detail, what you are trying to do?

What regular signal are you talking about? Over-the-air TV went to Digital recently ... so the Regular TV old style signals are mostly gone from the airwaves. That was NTSC (Never Twice the Same Color, no really Nation Television Sub Committee.) Now it is Advanced aka ATSC. Most tuners on newer tv's will do both NTSC and ATSC both on over-the-air and on most Cable TV systems.

Splitting satellite signal

standard spitter can be used for regular TVs. If the signal degrades, it can be boosted with an distribution amp, and could go to 100 TVs on channel 3 (for instance).
