Anvil FFA7020 deepfat fryer

The left side works just fine, but the right side has no heat at all. I loaned it to a local business (cafe) just before the problem started. They have very low amps (electric service). Could the low electric have burned out therm.

What type of power souce do I need for the power plug or can I get an adapter for it for regular power supply

Hi there.
Voltage and ampere or current rating can be verified on unit's nameplate and or Owner's Manual so better check these first before using or connecting the unit to a power source.

Pitco Fryer will not light up

Check the thermopile, it must be free of dirt or soot so that it can absorb enough heat from pilot flame and in turn can generate the right amount of voltage to energize pilot and burner coils.
Check also the gas pressure, it should be of standard as required on the unit's nameplate.

What would cause half of the fryer to not operate as it should. I believe the unit is a 530TD. The left side works fine, the right side appears to have a good power source but it will never get hot. I dont...

Hello. Star does not have wiring diagrams on there site, but I have an EM web account and can view it, there is only a switch, thermostat, hi-limit before the heater. Now it could be any one of those components, or the heater, or even the wiring. Since the left side works fine, you are correct that power is getting to the unit, as they share the main connection. You can set up an EM web account to get the information yourself, wiring, parts, service info, etc..

Troubleshooting the unit will require unplugging it, taking it apart, measuring the resistance of the components with a multimeter. Can/have you done this? do you have a multimeter? if not, look in you local phone book and call a restaurant repair servicer. Without "seeing " the unit, it is hard to tell what exactly is the problem, but most likely you have a burnt of wire needing repair, or a failed component.

I hope this helped, and thank you.

Wells 35lbs fryer double vat

This sounds to me as if your thermostat is not cycling the unit off. But I can see a second problem as well there should be a high limit cutoff to prevent it from running on and boiling over. I would check both. The thermostat is the dial or knob to regulate temperature and the high limit is the safty to prevent boil over or run on.

Gf 40 frymaster fryer

Hi, I am suposing that this fryer has worked good in this location before. If not, check to make sure it is set up right for your gas supply. (LP-Nat) There is something wrong with the gas - air flow in your unit. Look for obvious things first like exhaust being blocked, Flame dancing out side of fire area, Pilot too small, Build up of debris in fire box. The pilot should be able to be adjusted at the gas valve if it is too small. I believe you problem could be taken care of best with a good cleaning of the burner, fire box and pilot assemble. Make sure that all burner holes are clean especially around the pilot light. Check for oily debris inside the fire box to make sure its not leaking into the fire area. If you are unable to do this yourself, contact some one either in the restaurant equipment service business or heating and air conditioning business. Hope I have helped you. kstfas NOTE: If this answer does not rate at least 4 marks, (almost there) please do not rate. Thank You.
