This is a dew error indication. Try running the camera on AC adaptor with no cassette loaded for a couple of hours with power switch set to Off. RHN

My panasonic dvx 100b is from 2004. it's always worked great but now when I put in a new tape the first 5 minutes or so the audio does not record consistantly. It drops out over and over then its fine.

HELLO!
this camcorder needs some adjustments in the mechanism, the drop outs in the beggining of tape shows that tape tension is unstable in the begin of tape. The mech unit if its cleaned and drops continues must be replaced, this unit is not easy to adjust..very small parts,TAKE UP T2 POST ROLLER NEEDS ALIGNMENT Attention. The front portion of my Panasonic DVX-100 is loose

AFTER REMOVING THE LENS HOOD Try to remove the 2 tiny screws in the front of the lens and then you see 4 more screws .What happened is that some force on the lens broke the plastic base for some of these 4 screws. So try with a small screw driver and be careful about flat cable of focus sensor

Panasonic dvx parts

We are one of the Panasonic ASC and so far we had no problem with DVX100P parts. Although that model has been discontinued parts are still available.
Most of the DVX100A parts are common for DVX100P
