SOURCE: The broil element and bake element both come on set for Bake.

You are correct in your diagnosis. The selection switch has 2 sets of contacts that should only make one when on bake. The contacts internal to that fuse are most likely fused together, the other thing that could be going on is a short circuit in the wires to the selection switch causing the same problem. Typically a repair unless under warranty would be costly unless you are up for the challenge of replacing the switch and checking the wiring yourself.

SOURCE: My Krups toaster oven bakes,

It might be abe to be fixed, but you should contact Krupps for support, since they have the parts. Here is their support site:
http://www.krups.com/Consumer+Services/Product+Support/Manuals/Use+Intructions.htm
They might be able to refer you to a nearby authorized service center, or offer a swap out, but see what they say.
Good luck, and hope this helps.

On off button usually fais to respond to on

It could be a problem with the board as that on/off button is one complete unit with the board, digital display and buttons attached. If you want to fix it yourself get your model number (FBC212) and head over to 1800Parts.com to see if they have the board in stock. You can also call Krups directly and they will tell you a service station in your area. We are one of their national service stations but we are in New York.

I would call Cuisinart - this one has a 3-year warranty, and all they would need is a serial number, not the receipt. Do any of the lights turn on? When you pressed clock, did you hold in the hours button?
