Clean the battery holder if any leakage is present - check to make sure you get the 6 volts at the two contacts on the battery holder. If you have weak batteries then replace them - they do not have the amperage left to operate the motor (which is a huge power draw). if the motor itself has failed, you are pretty much out of luck as Minolta has been out of the camera business for over 5 years and there are no parts

Why is only the driver side window is working on my 1996 maxima

electric window dead.
fails to go up and down?
  1. blown fuse in the , fuse box.
  2. bad switch
  3. bad wires from fuse , switch and motor
  4. bad motor.
  5. window track jammed, and overloads said motor.

in a shop we dont guess. we use a $10 volt meter,
and measure the voltage to the motor pins, ACTIVE.
I got 12v yes, good
i dont get 12v, the controls are not sending 12v to motor, trace that with the meter. (easy is pie)
got 12v.
it dont move but buzzes, tack is jammed or motor bad.
if motor is silent and dont even twitch with 12v, (active) its bad.
if the motor seems overloaded, then disconnect the motor drive.
and see if the window does move easy, if not, bingo its jammed.
ill stop here, and not go in to the long topic of how to rebuild tracks.

The vents on the driver side only blows hot air while the other vents work properly when using the ac

This is common on daulzone heating /ac systems.this unit uses separte doors to control the temp on the driver and pass/sides. your problem is a bad blend door motor. i will see if i can give you some pictures and diagrams of what im talking about to help you locate and repair this problem. the first step would be to locate the bad motor. there are about four motors that control difffrent functions, you will need to locate them one at a time, next is watch one motor then start moving the controls, for example hot to cold then air flow settings and also hit the recirculate button for inside air flow or outside air flow and you want to see if this motor moves and if it does then thats not the motor. you will see when you move a control what the motor does. you will do this with every motor once you see the motor or also called actuator move you dont have to keep moving the controls you then move on to the next motor, you will do this until you locate the one that doesnt move and that will be the bad motor which will control the air flow for the driverside. the motor itself wont move but you will see the linkage move or the tab. i will show you what the tab is. the motors are all located on the heaterbox and held in by screws, this is under the dash, you dont have to remove the dash just a cover if its covered. good day.johnjohn2_129.jpgjohnjohn2_145.gifjohnjohn2_146.gif

I have a 1999 hyundai accent and the wipers havnt worked in a while, its been sitting in the garage for a bit but i dont know what is wrong, i believe it is the wiper motor but im not sure. when i turn the...

You know it sounds like a break in the linkage as the wiper motor will not usually let you freely move the wiper arms yourself. Generally there is an arm attached to the motor which in going around and around makes a side to side action in the wiper linkage. Without any more info I would suspect a failure in the ball joint connection between the wiper motor arm and the linkage. On a car that old most likely you should look around for a replacement used linkage on eBay or Craigslist. Once obtained, get yourself a repair manual or search on youtube for a video on how to remove and replace the linkage. there are many folks selling repair manuals on CD for about 10 bucks on eBay.

My windshield wipers stopped working, but i can hear something come on when i cut them on, but they dont move... i dont even know how to get to the wiper motor to even check it out! car is extra...

I am not sure on this specific vehicle but the wiper motor on all cars connects to linkage to convert the motor energy to the wipers. Most likely what happened if you here the motor moving is the linkage came loose from the motor. This is usually an easy fix once you find the motor it is usually on the drivers side fire wall up high under the hood.

Motor runs, but blades dont move

with engine off, take a screw driver and manually move the blades to make sure that they are not jammed. Then spray the blades down with wd-40 oil and they should move freely again.
