Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

Undo delete We have an HP Officejet Pro 8600 All-in-One printer. I accidentally "removed" the printer and now it is nowhere to be found! I went to the control panel to try to "add" the printer but it isn't listed. I looked in the installed programs to see if it is there, and it is not. The problem began when I noticed the printer, though connected, was offline. So I turned the computer off, unplugged the cord from the printer to the computer and to the outlet. Then I replugged in the cords and turned on the printer. I deleted all the printer jobs that were in the queue but accidentally removed the printer! Please advise!! Thank you!

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: offline problem...won't print

Unplug it and then re plug it in; I suggest USB connection over anything else; don't worry about self install if you already have done so in the past. In the print > hit properties on the icon for bubblejet > go to the ports tab > scroll all thw way to the bottom and click the "USB" checkbox. and you should be good.

SOURCE: hp 1350v all-in-one printer won't print

if you have a print job stuck go in and hit cancel job. If it stays even after a few min right click "my computer" on your desktop and hit "manage" go to "services and applications" click "services" find the print spooler option and right click it and stop the service. Once stoped right click it again and start it. This should clear anything stuck in print queue trying to delete

Here is a video from HP explaining the process. IF you followed this procedure and are getting errors, then you may have bigger issues. I am assuming you are using genuine HP ink, not remanufactured or refilled cartridges.

How do I delete eprint?

Usually for HP printers not being recognized because they loose their IP address on the network or the computer can't see it.

What you can do is completley uninstall the HP software for the Officejet 8600, then go to HP.com lookup the officejet 8600 under Support > Download Drivers. download the latest full installation then run the install. When it ask you how to install it do the custom install and then only select the things you want to install.

When it ask you to do the eprint set up you can skip that part. also once install try running the HP updates for find any Network fixes or and Firmware updates.

HP 8600 makes clicking noise takes long time to start printing

Solved!

Found a misfed page jammed inside the printer on far
right side ( by the ink service station) - after removing the
"hidden" wad, the printer no longer makes "clicking" sounds
and prints right away!
