SOURCE: How do you fit a replacement lower duct hose to a

    Hi there,

Please make sure your Dyson is switched off and unplugged before attempting to replace the lower duct hose. You may find it easiest to replace if you recline the cleaner into the vacuuming position, then lie it on it's side, with ducting facing upwards. The hose has a push-fit design, but as it's new, you may find it a tight fit.

If you'd prefer one of our Helpline experts to guide you through the process of replacing the hose, please give us a call free on 0800 2980298 - you can reach us at any time between 7am and 10pm, 7 days a week.

How do I keep lower duct hose from popping loose

Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.

DC24's lower duct hose is a push-fit part, but it should fit tightly to the ducts at either end. It's worth making sure both ends are correctly in place all the way the way around, and that there is no damage to either the hose itself, or the ducts it attaches to.

If you continue to have difficulty we should be able to provide further assistance. You can reach us directly at 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).

How do you attach upholstery hose

The upholstery hose attaches to the front of the recovery (lower) tank. There is a square plastic duct which must be removed, or folded forward on recent models; and the end of the hose slides into the front of the tank. Be sure to replace the lid on the dirty water tank correctly. The connector on the soap tube attaches to the valve under the trap door on top of the nozzle.

Where do i plug the hose into the vacuum

    Hi There,

I'll be happy to walk you through step by step how you can attach the hose to your Hoover SteamVac.

Here are step by step instructions for you:

Step 1. To prevent possible leaking, remove
clean solution tank by pressing down on
tank handle (D) and pulling forward; set
tank aside (do not set tank on furniture2_bing.gif).
    Remove hose from storage rack.

Step 5. Before connecting tube (H) to
cleaner, make sure black tabs are
extended by pulling tan collar toward
    tube.
Open door on hood labeled “Stair/
    upholstery Cleaning Connection”. Press
    round solution tube connector onto
round projection inside door. Press connector
    collar down firmly to ensure
    that it is fully connected.

Step 6. The tank replaces in a hinge-like
manner. Position front of lid under tabs
    (I) on front of tank. Rotate lid down onto
    tank.
Make sure lid is secure on all sides
    before cleaning.
For full suction, it is important that
the recovery tank lid is properly
    secured before cleaning.
    Reverse procedure to remove hose
    and solution tube.
Raise carpet cleaner2_bing.gif handle to upright
    position.
