How to replace my alternator on 06 vw jetta

I don't know how to remove the altenator on 06 volswagen jetta 2.5 L

Since you know what it looks like, this is easy, Pop open the hood, there is a Tensioner that when you insert the Ratchet, it will rotate and loosen the Belt. Once the belt is off, then it is just a matter of removing the Mounting bolts...

2002 VW Jetta GLI 2.8 V6 All dash Lights came on Battery Dead (new Battery) Pulled Altenator and had tested (tested ok) Altenator belt torn on side, could this cause problem? What could it be?


this does sound like a bad alternator,have the battery tested and check the connection at battery and positive feed cables form battery,next time all the lights come on have the charging system check dont remove alternator,also make sure the power cable to alternator is good,ive had a few of these they get hot and dont charge, have them tested and they tell me its good, put it back on car and customer is back again,i replace the alt and problem solved. hope this helps.ps check the alt fuse.

Car wont charge battery with new alt. and no shorts in wires.


YOU should have 2 leads to rear of the altenator, the large goes to the battery and starter lead the small is the one that supplys power to the light in the dash, hence with out that the altenator does not know when to switch on, as you changed the alt then it is the small feed at fault, check all fuses and replace it may just be a bad connection, also check wires at back of the ignition switch

Install heated oxygen sensor number 1 in volswagen jetta


Hi:
The Number 1 Heated Oxygen sensor is located in front of the catalytic converter. You would need to get the car up in the air, and then disconnect the electrical connector, and possibly need a special socket to remove the sensor. Also remember to purchase and use Oxygen sensor safe anti sieze compound on the threads of the new sensor, if you do this your self

2003 Jetta GLS (not TDI) alternator replaced twice in 2 weeks. WTH?


If the problem was in the alternator, the battery would have been discharged and you would not have been able to restart the car (unless jumped, but not have run for more than a few minutes before shutting down again) So, my answer: No.
