Question about Computers & Internet
It's sounds like the brushes need redoing. If this is a brand new item then return to the place of purchase for replacement. Before doing any un-necessary replacements try adjusting the alternator making sure the the belt deflection is to within nominal tolerances. If you have done this then it is time to think about replacing the brushes.
Easy to fix after you have acquired the new brushes it is as simple as undoing 2-3 screws removing the old bushes & place the new part & tighten not forgetting to readjust the belt deflection.
