How do i wire a red cooker switch

If you have to ask that fairly simple question, then maybe you ought to get someone else to do it. Sorry if that sounds condescending. Electricity kills.

How do you know if your oven is hard wired in or plugged in if can't see it?

The wiring should go to a cooker switch box...usually found at the back of an adjacent cupboard or on the wall. This will usually have a large red switch with a power indicator light and a standard switched socket.
On most installations of seperate oven and hob...the hob will be hard wired to the big red switch and the oven will be plugged in to the standard socket. So switch the socket off and see wether your oven is off...if the oven is connected to the big red switch instead then it must be hardwired...

Red light is not turning on

I had the same problem. It came from a small mechanical malfunction in the switch inside the cooker.
To fix it I had to :
- unplug the cooker
- unscrew the 3 screws from the bottom
- open the mechanical switch (red and black plastic box inside the cooker)
- reassemble the switch (copper tabs and spring... this part needs some patiente and dexterity skills)
- close the cooker with the 3 screws

It seems to work again now. Sorry for my bad english... I hope my solution is still understandable.

How to light our gas cooker

Modern gas cookers use an electronic ignition switch rather than a pilot light to light the gas for cooking. This means you can light your gas cooker with the touch of one button instead of using several matches or a flint lighter. Of course, you still have the option to light the gas cooker by hand with matches or a flint lighter if the ignition switch does not work the first time.

1.Open the gas regulator valve by pushing it in and turning it to a low setting.

2.Push the ignition switch once.

3.If the gas cooker does not light on the first try, close the gas regulation valve for one minute by pushing in on it and turning it back to the "Off" position.

4.Open the gas regulation valve, set it a bit higher than you did on the first lighting attempt, and push the ignition switch again.

5.Light the gas with a match or a flint lighter if the gas cooker does not light when you push the ignition switch again.
