You may have to install the drivers for the brand of unit you are plugging in. You also may have it turned off in audio control panel. Got to control panel and open audio icon make sure it is not muted.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Scknasccar88 has a good point, so here's a link to Packard Bell's support site: http://www.packardbell.com/support.htm
You don't need the CD when you can download the latest drivers from the manufacturer, and since you want a MotherBoard driver (strange) you can find it's manufacturer at the support site linked above. If it's that new and Packard Bell won't provide a CD, you may also want to look for a restore partition on your harddrive (all you need may very well be there).

i've been having the exact same yrouble with my Easynote E4 laptop and have just fixed it.
in the bottom left hand corner of the keyboard theres a key with Fn written in blue, hold this down and press F1it should beep and the 'wireless lan connection indicator' in your system tray the red cross will disipear then you will pick up wireless!

the fn key and one of the f keys should turn this on and off, if not
its possible the cable from the touchpad to the motherboard is loose or the touchpad is bad
