How do i ger the pin out of the crank shaft on a aprilia rs 125 big end bearing gone but can,t move the large pin holding it together

You need to take the crank to a machine shop. They will use a 20 ton hydraulic press to press the pin out of the crank. A new pin gets the hydraulic press to re-assemble the crank.

I have an older B&D reciprocating saw i use and i need help with changing the blade. It has an allen screw that hold it in but even when i remove it there is still a small pin that holds the blade. I...

No, the pin holds the blade in there as a keeper device, The screw just puts the clamp on it. It was probably just stuck, If the pin is gone, driven out or out of the way, try getting it back to hook the blade on. The clamp alone won't hold it. I tried.

Just bought Troy-Bilt TB350 XP with "MYSPEED." It starts up fine and moves quicklym because my speed came set at "4." I have tried setting "MYSPEED" to a lower setting. ...

I had the same problem, and after reaching out to Troy-bilt with no luck, I just went ahead and took the speed control assembly apart and figured out what was wrong... not sure what happened, but it wasn't assembled correctly.

In my case, the metal-toothed gearing plate was not positioned properly to allow the gear adjustment lever to move (laid in exactly opposite of correct), and the metal flex hinge that clicks in the notch of the speed control lever was just laying in there not doing anything.

The speed control assembly can be taken off the handle by loosening two bolts. The whole assembly compartment opens up by loosening two more. Take a picture if you have to, but be careful when you open it up that you are paying attention to how everything lays in there and you won't have any trouble putting it back together once you've aligned the metal plate properly. If you need a shot of the assembly put together correctly let me know and I will post a pic. Good luck!

I just ordered a ps3 controller from RadioShack brand new. the L2 trigger does not work is there anything you would recomend

Hi if you have bought it new it should be working but sometimes you do get a faulty item, now their is no point in taking it apart as you wont be able to take it back to get a refund or replacement.
but you can try the following
1 on the back of the pad their is a tiny hole towards the middle part, if you look at the sticker on the back the whole is just above the top right corner of the sticker now if you switch the pad on by pressing the ps button then get a pin or something long and thin to poke in the hole now poke the pin all the way in and when its in far enough you should hit a switch and feel a click this is the reset button for the pad, so press that and then try the pad.
2 if that dont get it working then hold the pad in your right hand and hit it into the palm of your left hand hard a few times then give it a try, sometimes doing this gets the buttons working as the circuit might be in the wrong place, the printed circuit under the shoulder buttons is thin plastic and can sometimes move so doing this may get it back in its correct place.

3 now if the above fails the only option you have is take it back to where you got it from as taking it apart is the easy bit but putting it back together is a whole other ball game and trust me if you have never done one before then you will struggle to get it back together, you need a lot of luck and skill to get the shoulder buttons back in place its not east and trust me i have fixed loads, give me an xbox controller any day, even though it prefer the ps3 they just didnt make them very user repairable.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

please rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated answers, thanks

The laser light on my black & decker bdl500 stopped working

I had the same problem with mine. I took it apart and inspected it. Mine was a loose connection and after some fiddling with the wires the laser came back on. Put it back together and haven't had a problem with it since. Hope it helps.

Pin fell back inside the central shaft.

Use a good strong magnet from the outside while holding it upside down. Move the magnet around the shaft as if going through a maze that you can't see- untill it finds the exit path out! Take an old hard drive apart and use the magnets they have-they're very powerful.
