SOURCE: Shrinking Screen Display

It can be a problem with teh bulb...you may want to make sure that the fan is not shutting down when you power off the projector becsue that may shorten the life of the bulb,...the fan should remain on for a while to continue cooling off the bulb....it probably won't hurt to have use another fan pointing to the projector while in use...

SOURCE: Picture off center

This is usually because the resolution is set too low. Right click on the background and go to Properies. Then in the Display Properties Window go to Settings. Increase the resolution.

If you cannot increase the resolution then you need to install/reinstall your video card driver. This should have come with your PC or new graphics card.

If you have any of the following problems you may want to check the site www.tvrepairkits.com for a repair kit. Most of the issue below are fairly common with the older Magnavox projection sets.

Symptom: Screen shrinks and expands - may or may not correct itself after the TV warms up. After a few days, weeks, or months of having the shrinking/expanding problem you may loose all audio/video but the power light will remain lit!

(Note: The below symptoms typicaly occurs after having the expanding/shrinking screen problem above)

Symptom: No Audio or Video but power light is on

Symptom: Audio works but no Video. Power light still work

Symptom: No Video. Audio is intermittent. Power light still works

SOURCE: picture shrinks to the center and start flickering

When Posting, its a good idea to always give the make and model number.
But it appears you have a vertical deflection problem.
being that is works for a while consistantly I am to believe it is just bad solder around the vertical IC.
If you give the model number I will assist you as to what the vertical ic is. :)

Drywall screws show

Use setting type compound for filling over screws. This compound doesn't shrink and does a better job of covering them up. Light weight compound is fine but is soft. It does shrink as it dries so you'll need maybe 3 or 4 coats to get the dimple area covered. I use setting compounds on all my second coats for this reason. This applies to tapered seams, end or surface joints and corners. You want to tape the drywall with all purpose compound that does shrink so it pulls the tape tight when dry. I use the TapeBuddy taping tools for a tight, no blister seam. Let this dry and second coat with the setting type compound and your finishing project will go much faster.

How to replace 2005 ford freestar rear hub assembly

*Remove the rear tire
*Get yourself an old wire coat hanger (or some bailing wire)
*Remove the 2 - 13mm bolts holding the caliper in place
*Bend the wire/coat hanger and use it to "hang" the caliper on -
basically do not let the caliper hang by its hose.
*Rock the caliper back and forth a little until it comes away from
the caliper bracket, then hang it on your wire.
*Remove the 2 - 18mm bolts holding the caliper mounting bracket
and remove the bracket, set it aside.
*Remove the rotor - You might need to hit it with a rubber mallet to
get it to come lose (rust).
*At this point you should see the hub (the part with the lug studs
sticking out towards you). On the backside of the hub, you should
see 4 studs facing the inward,
*Follow the wire for your wheel speed sensor that is located in the
center of those 4 studs facing inwards (you should see it pretty
clearly) and disconnect it.
*Remove the hub's nuts (15mm if I recall), then swap out your hub
assembly.
*Reconnect the wire

Use the reverse order to put things back together.

Hope this helps!
Cheers

The screen on my Garmin Nuvi 200W won't respond. I tried the recalibration but the screen doesn't respond when I touch the dot. I also tried a hard reset and that didn't help either. Help please!

There is more than one calibration procedure, but for the 200 it is:
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} To recalibrate the touchscreen on your nuvi 200 follow the steps below:
  1. Have the unit turned OFF and unplugged from power.
  2. Slide the power switch to the ON position and hold for about 45 seconds.
  3. A message will display on the screen: Press Dot.
  4. Once this message displays, release the Power button.
  5. Press in the center of the Dot.
  6. Keep pressing in the center of the Dot as it moves around the screen.
  7. Once this is complete, there will be a message: Calibration Complete.
  8. Touch Ok and the unit will restart.
The touchscreen will now be recalibrated.
*Note if unit is running software version 6.00 or newer you will want to follow steps from below.
To recalibrate the touchscreen on your nuvi 205 series follow the steps below:
  1. Have the unit turned OFF and unplugged from power.
  2. Place your finger in the top left hand corner of the touch screen and apply pressure.
  3. Slide the power switch to the ON position.
  4. Hold pressure in left corner until the Press dot message appears.
  5. Once this message displays, remove your finger from the screen.
  6. Press in the center of the Dot.
  7. Keep pressing in the center of the Dot as it moves around the screen.
  8. Once this is complete, there will be a message: Calibration Complete.
  9. Touch Ok and the unit will restart.
The touchscreen will now be recalibrated.

TV screen shrinking from top to bottom.

My Dearest, j30;

It sounds like you have a problem in the 9 volt circuit which feeds the vertical output ciruit; CHECK C2P05 100 UFD 16 V OFF PIN 3 OF IC2P01 AND IC2P01 PART # 270P466020 (9-VOLT REGULATOR). BOTH ARE ON THE SIGNAL PCB.
This is not a repair that a novice should try, but if you call a factory authorized service center and have them come out and give you an estimate; AND tell them what the problem is, you will look know what you are talking about!

Tv screen shrinks

Looks like some of the Electrolytic Capacitors in the Vertical Output stages have dried out and need to be replaced. If you are conversant with Solid State electronics servicing, then you can make an attempt. I generally do not waste time identifying the faulty capacitor, but replace the entire lot in thre Vertical stages. There are not more than 8-10 of them. Since you are changing them en masse, should not take you more than 30 - 45 mins to desolder the suspect ones, and solder the new ones. And it also saves you the bother of new problems cropping up in the near future, as all potential problems with old capacitors get removed.

I would try booting the computer in safe mode (if it's windows) and adjust your display settings. It sounds as though it is trying to display from your computer something that it cannot properly.
