Question about Lands Phones
I want to interchange our BT Studio 3500 Quad phone (currently connected straight into our home phone line) and a BT Diverse 6250 phone (currently connected into my office phone line with Broadband internet). Both lines work perfectly all right in their current set up, but if I swap the phones around (by swapping the 'Line' in the base of each phone over), neither has a ringing tone anymore?! I have tried swapping the lines over before and after turning the power on and off, but it makes no difference. Any suggestions?!

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Feature * 6 is for the ring tone of the set, it doesn't change the cadence (ring tone) on a line...
The only way to change the ring tone on a line... it would require everyone that has that number to change.
You need to go into the programming
-> look for LINE and enter
-> put in 003 for line 3 and enter
-> under TRUNK/LINE DATA find DISTINCT RING and change
-> REL to end programming...
Now that line 3 will ring differently. But it will ring differently on everyone's sets that has line 3 on their phone

SOURCE: both phones are flashing base
Had the same problem with my BT Studio 1500 phones both flashing "BASE 1" . Again could not find solution on web! BUT phoned the free BT helpline on 08001456789.
They told me to switch off electricity supply to the base unit then switch it back on.
(The fault is due to the base unit losing the signal and just needs to be "rebooted")
Hey IT WORKS!!!!!
Don't buy a new set of phones!!!!!

My GE cordless handset won't ring when it's on the base charging but it will when I take it off. I've taken off the battery and disconnect the phone from the wall to try to reset it, but it still doesn't ring.

SOURCE: BT Freestyle 2200
hi just want to help others as desciption aint complete above
Registering a BT Freestyle 2200 handset
1. If there is a handset in the base remove it whilst you are registering the new handset.
2. Press and hold the PAGE button on the base for about 10 seconds until you hear a beep and the In Use light starts flashing.
3. On the handset to be registered, press and hold redial & CALLSd buttons together until display shows 65-.
4. Enter the base number. If this is a new handset then the base number is 1, the display shows 65-1 then PIN. which is normally 0000
5. Enter and registration starts. When the handset beeps and returns to standby registration is complete.
