use the ground on the machine.....There are 3 wires on the terminal block if you notice there is a grounding strap off the center post this will act as your ground to the machine back in your panel box the center post leads to ground anyway the other 2 are hot leads (240vac) use the 3 post you will be fine. you will be grounded let me know if you have any problems

Possible door s/w or thermal fuse. If its blowing thermal fuses with a clean and avg vent run check the relay, cycle unit with no heat fuction if the heat still comes on replace the relay board. Call your local servicer.

FWIW ... the Sears guy came by yesterday. The problem was apparently that the door latch was not operating to the extent that the sensors thought the door was open. He is replacing the latch next week. He adjusted the old one in the mean tiome and it appears to be working fine.
This kind of stunned me, since my wife reported an electric zap and the interior light burned out as the dryer went dead -- so I was sure it would be a fried circuit board -- but, no, a little jiggling of the latch seemed to clear it up....

Some local codes require a separate ground and neutral wire. You are probably in one of those areas. Just to keep things code compliant go ahead and replace the 3 prong with a 4 prong cord.
