Question about Videoseven V7 R19WPS 19" LCD Monitor

"Auto" always worked but now messed up; can't fix

I have two of these hooked up on my system to a radeon x1950 card. They've been working fine for about 8 months now with zero problems. I would occasionally use the Auto function at the bottom to reset contrast/brightness after playing with it. Last week when i hit it the entire screen adjust and moved about an inch up and 2.5 inches left. It still functions but my viewing area has disappeared. I've restarted my computer several times, played with the display adapter/monitor drivers, and tried "auto" a bunch, nothing seems to fix it. The other one's auto works fine still. The only way I can even stand to use it now is by moving the horizontal all the way to the right (still cuts off .75 inch) and moving the vertical down.

Again, I have not figured a way around this, i cannot maximize anything without cutting it off. Does anyone have any tips or ideas on how to combat this? Maybe a manual default reset thing or something?

I have a HP 1940 19" LCD monitor, which is not being detected by windows 7. monitor works just fine, but not showing any identifications in device manager.

It is not detected because the driver for that monitor is not installed for windows 7. Go to HP web site and get the driver for your monitor. Your graphic card will dictate the resolution for the monitor. The monitor will only tried to project the image within its capability.

Have you updated your DirectX to the latest version?

Monitor power light blinks blue but does not power on

if the screen was fryed the fuse would of blew which means there would be no lights at all.. the best thing you can do is plug your screen into another pc to see if anything happens.. if nothing happens then yeah your screen must of messed up somewhere.. but if your screen works on another computer then your graphics card config cant be right somewhere along the line

Viewsonic vp912b lcd display will not DVI

Yes you can but there should be an option in the monitor settings for DVI... Maybe if you go into safe mode and attempt adjusting settings for the ati for the dvi output, from what I hear that monitor is nice with the DVI option would be aa shame to lose that.

Computer won't recognize monitor driver

Its the usb, if u connect the monitor via the standard port, the vga port, it will work. If your monitor only have an dvi cable you can fix that by an adapter. That adapter should be an DVI to VGA.

Good luck to you
