Good luck .you will need a scope, frequency counter , volt meter, and a signal generator. plus hand tools made of plastic.also you will need a service manual.

Constant blinking green light on Mitsubishi WS-65909 TV. Replaced the 7 Capacitors on the DM module and re-installed into the tv, plugged in and the same blinking green light problem is happening. Is

This is a V19 chassis, circa 2002

If all capacitors were replaced correctly & all caps with bulging tops were replaced, It sounds like you may have other issues on the DM pcb. Possibly defective ICs. That would be the E2P module (a small pcb which plugs directly onto the DM pcb), which is specific to your particular model & serial#

Several years ago the only way to get the E2P, was thru the manufacturer, they also, used to make a kit that you could replace those ICs yourself. Those pcbs & kits were limited. So all I can do is wish you much luck if that is the problem.

At this point I would double & triple check the replacement of your capacitors.

How can you tune and peak a Maxon MCB-10

I wouldn't advise it because if you do increase the power output then the finals will blow out. It is not heat sinked for any more power then it puts out now

Doesnt transmit very good

First make sure your SWR is nice and low 1-1:5 is recommended and no higher than 2. You can loose up to 50% of transmission with a high SWR. Your set up is as only as good as your antenna. I like the Wilson model antennas myself but there are many good antennas out there. The radio you have may have never been peaked or tuned. Even new they are far from the legal limit or 4watts swing 12 watts PEP. Also, don't be discouraged by those saying you are not getting out. Most these days have a far more watts coming out of the back. So their standard may be different. You can take your radio to a licensed tech and have it peaked and tuned. With the radio you have, it may be more (in value) than the radio itself is worth. But you will get more power out of it. Good luck.

People say its loud but distorted cant understand me

turn down the mic gain until its not distorted any more.

Also, If this radio has been peaked and tuned, some one may have clipped d10 with is the modulation limiting diode. When you clip it, it disables it. This may have been done instead of just turning VR4 all the way down, which turns the modulation up, but still limits it by a hair. A lot of the time clipping d10 is fine and doesn't get you sputtering, but if it does you need to connect it and just turn VR4 all the way down.

Most likely you have they dynamike to high. About 1 or 2 o'clock should do it.

Also if you are using a power mic, that is too high.

A lot of times it's the mic its self and not the Gain that makes you loud.

If you want to be loud, get your self a skythumper noise canceling mic. And put your mic gain around 1 or 2 o'clock.

I've been told I need a DM module by a tv repair service who checked continuity in many of the components. What do I really need to fix it/ Can I order the parts myself? From whom? Can I install them?

The service manual is available from
It is part number Part# 3828VD0222B for $2.95
Hopefully the entire DM Module would not need replacing. Hopefully just capacitors in the DM module need replacing and if that is the case part store has these in stock. Their phone number is 866-925-7278

I can receive well, but have limited output..can receive from drivers over 10 miles, but when I try to talk back I only have about a 1 1/2 mile range I got a new power mic, but it doesnt seem to help......

Could be poor antenna, or not high enough on the vehicle.

Also most truckers have had their radio's peaked and tuned.

If this radio is stock its only putting out 4 watts, which should still get you about 8 miles.

I do not know what the modulation and AM power POT's on the board of this radio are.

You can take it to a truck stop that has a radio shop. they can peak it usually for less then $30

Replaced the bulb and now it wont work, the green light on front just flashes

You most likely will need a new DM module and some capacitors in the power supply. If the DM module is not happy it does this blinking thing. I have repaired a few of these DM's myself which is cheaper than the whole module. Try to find a shop that is familiar with this problem.

How do i turn peak and tune my cobra 19 ultra 3 myself no cb shop close by

un-solder 1 leg of D11 diode, pull it out of the board, and make sure it does not short against anything.

That will bring your modulation up all the way. there are other adjustments that can be done, but without proper meters, you will most likely mess up the radio.

D11 will be a big step up any way.

Cobra 29 ltd classick tuning

Here is a link to the Phantom CB's seb site, you can click on the brand of radio you want to peak, in you case, Cobra. Then follow through the chart to the Cobra 29 LTD Classic under the Cobra power mods, which tells you what to adjust and changes that can be made. Only one suggestion I have before you start, where it says to cut D11, don't, only turn up VR-4 for your modulation. That is the only thing I don't like with their instuctions is telling people to cut the modulation limiter. You can get full modulation by turning up the potentiometer, and if you cut the limiter, sometimes it will over modulate.

You need an inline power meter to peak the radio out. This is the quick and dirty way to peak and tune a radio. To properly align a radio, you really need an oscilloscope and other related test equipment.

If you have more questions, don't hesitate to post here or email me at I can't promise I will have an answer to all questions, but I will do the best I can to help.
