Question about Whirlpool Dishwashers
Quiet partner II- last month noticed loud sound during the cycle-then the sound subsided for a week or so-now it wn't go through a cycle and i smell a burning smell. the heater element gets hot, there is very little water inside that does drain but it never seems to fill or wash and rinse-the panel seems to click and sometimes the clean light wil blink. Any suggestion? I am a DIY'er. When the panel was stuck on the clean blinking light only, I reset it using the heated dry/hi tep sequence. OK, going to wash my dishes now whileI wait for a reply....thank you =)
Sounds like the impeller has frozen up or the motor burned up. Check the video below to troubleshoot.
Check your warranty,. Call manufacturer with model number and they might be able to help you. If you have to buy the motor, get the part number and do a search online. The manufacturers tend to be a bit high.

More likely: the solenoid which directs the water to either the drain or the spray arm is clogged/jammed. Located underneath near the drain line.

I started having this problem, blinking green light, three days ago with my Kenmore QG3 and finally was tired of not being able to use my dishwasher. I've had it for three years with no problems until 3 days ago. You solution, use of commands, really helped and no money wasted on tech assistance. Thanks again!!

I have a whirlpool quiet partner II and for some reason it does not drain the water out any more and I cannot figure out why....people say that it is the filter but that is unbelievably hard to get to and I cannot find any instructions online or paper work that tells how to break it down. If anyone has any insight please let me know

SOURCE: Dishwasher malfunction
The flashing light indicates that the control did not sense a 3 degree temperature rise with an 8 minute test. There are many reasons this could happen with a working heater. I put together a page that shows the reasons and you might be able to do about it and again how to reset the control so you can use it. Depending on how deep you want to dig into the issue or get a new one is up to you. I would weigh in how much you like the current machine overall against how much a new trouble free unit might be. The best one out there today in my book by far is the KitchenAid,
