Question about Gateway MT3705 Notebook

GPU needs to be re-balled. It is because cooling pad on GPU is not efficient and GPU overheats, melting ball contacts. There are some re-balling services on ebay that will reball GPU and install a more efficient cooling contact on the GPU.

Bad motherboard. A new one is about $300 but it eventually will fail again as I am currently researching this issue and seeing many complaints of this nature. People have replaced the motherboard many times and came across the same issue. I am working in one for a friend am going to recommend he junk it.

This solution worked for me. After Geek Squad had looked at it and said that there would be a new mother board needed. I can vouch for this solution. email@example.com

iam mohamad fakih from lebanon iv got the same problem but i solve it,the problem of this gateway is the high tempreture from the cpu this is what makes the damage
to fix it, easily just push the keyboard dawn hardly by your hand on the left side above the following keys:E,R,F,4,5 (u can use ur fist) push hardly and press power button and wait 4 seconds
and when the laptop comes on enter the windows and run aprogram that makes the cpu gets hot(a big game) this is to make the motherbaord become hot ,the heat of the cpu will automatically
solder the damaged bus in the motherboard . good luck
