If you want Google as your default search engine, hover the mouse over the search (magnifying glass symbol). You will notice a down arrow appear; click on it and a list of search engines will appear. Click on Google to make it your search engine.
You should notice a heading to select a default search engine. Select Google and confirm it.

Notice below
Choose your default search engine. Firefox uses it in the location bar, search bar, and start pages.
you can select Google or any other search engine and make it your default

I'm using google chrome with ask as my defauly browser, and i would llike to use google search engine instead of the ask engine. how do i do this?

First, you can go into control panel and remove the ask toolbar if you never use it. It may make your browser a bit faster, and it will certainly give you some more space on the screen.

Second, you can change your browser search behaviour by finding the menu icon (looks like three horizontal bars, maybe green, just under the "X" close window button in the upper right of your browser). Click on it, then scroll down to "Search" and select Google. Close this tab, and you should be back to where you want to be.

I want to change my current browser the search engine ask. com into the the google .

Hi there,
If I understand your question, then you want to change your default search engine from to google.
Here is what you do. In your search bar, there is a drop down arrow. Click on it, and it shows all the available search engines installed in your browser. To make google your default, simply select it, and that should effect the change.

Hope that was helpful?
Thank you for using FixYa.
