Having problems getting on social network sites since installing BT Infinity

This can happen due to many reason
  • First of all close all your browser, check your Date and Time of your Device for mismatch, if it is incorrect, change it . and reopen any social networking sites on new browser tab.
If still same problem, It could be because of Anti Virus. I am assuming your anti virus is Kaspesky.
  • Close all internet browsers. Open your antivirus control panel. In my case, it was Kaspersky antivirus.
  • Click on "Settings". Go to "Advanced Settings" tab and click on "Network".
  • Under the "Encrypted connections scan", uncheck the "Scan encrypted settings".
  • Click Apply and OK.
  • Now, relaunch your browser and open the desired website.
If still same problem
  • Right click on the Shortcut file of Google Chrome( assuming your browser is Google Chrome) at your desktop.
  • Choose Properties. A new window will appear on your screen.
  • You would see a field named "Target". Just Tweak that i.e modify it. Add the below code in front as show in the below image.-ignore-certificate-errors-.
Hope one of the above step will work for you.

I can't surf gmail.com.there is a certificate error

Certificate errors are typically caused by an incorrect date or time in your operating system's calendar.
To set your Date and Time Properties in Windows, please follow these steps:
  1. Double-click the time in your taskbar to open the Date & Time Properties menu.
  2. From the Date & Time tab, verify that the appropriate month, day, and year are selected.
  3. Click Apply to save any changes you make.
  4. From the Time Zone tab, verify that your time zone is selected. If the time zone in which you are located is not displayed, select your time zone from the drop-down menu.
  5. Verify that the box beside Automatically adjust clock for daylight savings changes is checked.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Close all your browser windows, restart your browser and try logging in again.

If i open now my google, google custom search was appeared instead of google chrome

If you mean you type in www.google.com and it redirects you to a custom search, it could be many things. If you are at work or school, they may have a firewall in place that redirects you to their google custom search. It could also be a temporary internet file or cookie that's redirecting you. If you're not behind a work/school firewall try deleting your browsers temporary internet files.
