Gently don't force anything. 1st check for any visible screws on door trim & undo. remove window winder if not power window you can buy a tool for this. carfully pull the trim out from the bottom of the door & work up. You will probably find it stops near the door handle. There is probably hidden screws behind the inner door handle trim & don't forget arm rests. just be gentle & yu should work it out & not brake anything

To remove the door panel, remove any screws that are in the vicinity of pull handles and door pockets. These screws will be under little trim covers that you need to prise off to get to their heads. Look for the screws around the edge of the panel and also the screw in the latch release handle recess.
The lock knob, if there is one there, will have to be screwed off and then carefully work your way around the door, freeing the panel's clips from their holes in the door frame. (Doot panels are brittle and clip break out easily).
Finally the panel will probably have to be lifted out if the window slot. (If the panel does not come off, work out what is retaining it and remove that screw or slide it off the clip that is still holding the panel. Disconnect any electrical plugs behind the panel. Under the panel you will find a plastic dust sheet that is stuck to the door frame, remove this carefully, you will have to replace it before replacing the panel.

Hi Evolution, The problem is common on your vehicle.... The name of the part you'll need is the ignition barrol. Behind the barrol is a plastic switch which is operated by a rod protruding through the end of the barrol
  • To be able to replace it you'll need to remove the plastic steering cowling.
  • It will be easier to remove the steering wheel first.
  • Remove the center cover of the steering wheel.
  • Punch two match marks, one onto the collumn and the other onto the wheel, as close as possible to the edge of the splines. (for easy ailignment)
  • Loosen the centre nut and using a puller, remove the steering wheel.
  • Insert the ignition key and turn it to the unlock postion, but not to the on postion.
  • Look underneath the cowling.
  • There are usually five machine screws accessed from underneath. Remove these and then remove the two halves of the cover.
  • You'll notice four blind bolts which hold the saddle which clamps the barrol
  • These need to be loosened with a cold chisel and then removed.
  • The switch is located at the end of the barrol and held in place with two screws which should be removed.
  • The switch is connected to the harness by a connecting plug and socket.
  • Unplug that connector.
  • Remove the blind bolts and then remove the barrol unit
  • Fit the replacement with new blind bolts and tighten until the heads break off (This is a safety anti theft feature to make it more difficult to tamper with).
  • Re-assemble making sure of ailignment of the steering wheel and your away
