SOURCE: Polaroid DVD Player won't charge.

I had the same problem, which I attributed to having the plug in a power strip. Once I plugged it directly into the wall socket, I haven't had a problem since.

SOURCE: i need a power supply

A generic power supply from **** Smiths or Tandy will do the same thing. You will need to check the required voltage and current or watts on the back of the TV to ensure you get one that has enough power. They generally wouldn't cost you anymore than about AU$50.

hi there, if it's still covered by the warranty period it is best to let them do the repairs. If you want to troubleshoot it yourself start with determining if your wall outlet has AC output. if yes proceed with inspecting your power cord if it has open or cut wires. if it still good. also check the internal fuse if you can locate it, usually found in the power supply section. carefully check the appearance of the fuse if it has discoloration (burn) replace it with same type. these are just basic steps for inspecting the TV with dead set problem. if the problem is with the power Mosfet or bulgy capacitor seek assistance with a technician. Good day, please rate and vote.

There is an input imbalance. Either try connecting your cables to different inputs on your TV, or try connecting to different outputs on your DVD player. (Only worry about the yellow video cable bit initially). Alternatively, try a different cable type; you'll have some ins and outs that don't use RCA connectors.

Proper input for TV audio signal

Do you have your DVD player running through your receiver? You want the red and white (audio) cables to go from your DVD player to your receiver and the yellow (video) cable to go from your DVD player to your TV. Separate the red, white, and yellow cable into separate strands if you need to, but be careful not to tear the insulation. They should pull apart fairly easily. If I'm totally off or you're using a coaxial or component video/audio cables or a fiber optic cable, let me know. Hope this helps

Your problem could be a backlight problem. But the bulbs may not be the source of your problem, as both and sometimes 3 or 4 bulbs, depending on the set will not all go out at once. You most likely have an inverter problem with your set, that is the circuit that powers the backlights. Good Luck
