Question about Fisher and Paykel 24 in. DD603H W Built-in Dishwasher
It started beeping continuously with a bunch of lights flashing, then played Star Bangled Banner alternately with a classical lullaby over & over ...kept hitting the power button to stop it, then hit all the other buttons in various different sequences, but that just erased the error codes & the lcd light kept flashing 'til it must have burned out a fuse or something, now there is no power to the top drawer at all (Er...well..there hasn't been for over wk, but just tonight it started beeping and error codes flashing again. It went through a series of different numbers/sequences so fast we couldn't read them, but eventually landed on 1E8. No such code listed in the service sheet. ... Bottom drawer works fine.
Try and do a power reset to the dishwasher. This means turn the mains power off to the dishwasher and back on again. If there is no mains socket under the kitchen bench then maybe do this from the mains contactor switch in the meter box. If there is no difference to the behaviour of the top drawer then the controller has most likely packed up. You can test things out by taking controller from bottom drawer and putting in top drawer. But this requires some experience with taking out the front covers of the drawers, taking out the connectors and putting back. If you mix the connector connections etc you can cause more damage. Take photos as you go along. Make sure the dishwasher is disconnected from mains power when you are working on it.

Your original problem, F4, was the machine trying to tell you that the heater plate was not working. When you turned the drawer up-side down, you may have damaged the wiring harness. If you do get a technician, call a fisher paykel authorized servicer, not an independent, and make sure you tell him about the F4 problem. A new problem has been introduced by the cleaning procedure, and both issues will need to be resolved.

Most likely the micro-switch that tells the controller that the drawer is closed is broken. Its a tiny little black switch at the back of the left drawer slide, it had a metal actuator that is prone to breaking.

There is some reason the LCD needs to be reset. Un plug the cord. Remove the front panel, on the top right you will see the small circuit board. On the right of the circuit board there are a few connectors. Disconnect them all and leave for 30 minutes. Put it back then plug in the cord. It will work again. If not then it needs to be replaced. Unplug alone the cord didn't work for mine. Good luck
