Question about Refrigerators
Every night, at 8:40pm our GE side-by-side fridge would make a high-pitched chirp. It would stop for a few minutes if we pulled it away from the wall or gave the fridge a small nudge. It did this through the entire night. Two repair men came and went without finding a solution (they never head the sound since it only happens at night). So, today we had a brand new Samsung side-by-side fridge delivered. 8:40pm arrived and so did the high-pitched chirp! Is it the water line going into the fridge? Help!
High pitch noises are very difficult to isolate. Since you have replaced the refrigerator, I would look for something else in the immediate vicinity that might be generating the sound.

Hi. Your refrigerator is under 5 years and the compressor is still under full warranty. Call Sears and get it fixed parts and labor included. There should be no charge to you whatsoever. Make sure they understand that on the phone when you set up the appointment. You would be better off having a different technician from Sears come out to your house, as the one that came was not honest with you. Good luck, Mack

I have a hotpoint HSS25GFPJWW fridg. The coil that opens the flapper door for the ice was bad so i replaced it . Now when i push the leaver in to get ice the fridge shut's down like ther is a large power drain. This was doing this before i replaced the coil but the flapper door was not opening then now it opens. It evens shut's the compressor off.

Hi, Remove the rear inside freezer panel and you will be able to see the evaporator fan motor. The fan motor is what is squeeling.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.
