Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: question about motorola cp040

The CP040 is a sister to the US version CP200. These features (roger beep and Tx power) are done during the programming of the radio using Motorola CPS software, a radio interface box (RIB) and appropriate cable. The software is proprietary to Motorola and is available by subscription to Authorized Motorola dealers and other qualifying entities. You can stop by your local Motorola shop to have the radio reprogrammed. (approx. $15-25 US)

You mean the "roger beep"? You can try the steps below from this site>>http://science.opposingviews.com/turn-roger-beep-off-motorola-walkie-talkie-10001.html
Step 1
Turn the Motorola Talkabout two-way radio on by pressing the "Power" button.
Step 2
Hold down the "Menu" button for several seconds until an icon appears on the screen. "On/Off" begins to flash on the screen.
Step 3
Press the "Minus" button to turn the "Roger" beep off. If you want to turn it back on, press the "Plus" button.
Step 4
Tap the "PTT" button to save the change. You may also press "Menu" to save the change and completely exit Menu mode

Hope it helps...

One of my walky talkys(motorola T4500) makes an extra beeping noise whenever i turn it on. This noise also shortens up what people are saying before they finish talking. How do I fix that?

What you might be experiencing is the Talk Confirmation Tone aka Roger Beep. I have looked through the T4500 manual and do not see any instructions for turning it off, just that it is listed as a feature. However, something you might try is holding in the + (plus) button while turning on the radio and see if it disables the feature. This method is used on many of the other TalkAbout models.

If it is not the Roger Beep, it could be a low battery beep. But from your explanation it sounds more like a Roger Beep.
