Question about Sony Ericsson Cell Phones
Put in new sim card and the phone now asks for a phone lock code. I switched the old and new sim cards (and turned it on once with no sim card) and the only time it asks for a phone lock code is when it has the new sim card in.
In canada at least, phones are typically locked to a certain provider. If you are using a sim card from a provider that the phone was not originally purchased from, you will need to contact the original provider to unlock it. Alternatively, for a bit cheaper you can try a google search to find someone who does phone unlocking. They will email you the code to unlock your phone.

SOURCE: Sony Ericsson - phone lock code
I think i may have a solution for u. It sounds like a Phonelock code...all Cellphones have one. Its in the software for the phones. Its a little like a SIM code. U could try with entering the code 0000. That could work!!
Good Luck :-)

SOURCE: phone locked
Okay, well i do not know much about these phones but i will give you a few options that work for verizon.
You can try the standard "0000" also there is the possibility of it being the last four digits of your cell phone number. and if that doesnt work you can call your service provider and they can reset the code.

SOURCE: lock code on sony ericsson w580i
Ok, THIS WILL WORK! It worked on my W580i and it wasn't even
supposed to. FIRST! Download (8.8MB) XS++
SECOND! No install. It just runs.
Make sure you have ALL drivers for YOUR phone. That should be under the battery. Under model... or something like that. HERE!http://www.nodevice.com/driver/company/Sony_Ericsson.html
Take your phone, turn it off. Start this program and click on connect. You'll have 30 seconds to plug your phone into your computer and HOLD CThe entire time! (the delete button or 2). When connected, you can let go of the C button. Click atthe button: GDFS. There will be a phone lock reset to "0000". Click it.It will take no more than 45 seconds. I promise. Unplug your phone, and vuala! If your phone won't turn on, try pulling out the battery, putting it back and trying again. This program is also good for flashing phones, and putting flash menus on your phone. Also unlocking it and debranding it. GOOD LUCK!

IF you put PUK code many times depending on the model it wil lock the sim card. This is because to prevent unathorised person using your SIM card.
Default PIN code for nokia mobile is 0000
PUK code will be given by the service provider only.
Please call your service provider or go to service provider office, they will assist you in this issue. And they will have a security check like name,Phone number and other information to check weather the SIM card belongs to you only. Then they will assit you.
