Accidentally deleted my pictures all of them

Was looking at the pictures on the way home from a short trip. I put the camera back in its case. When I got home and went to show them to my sister they were gone!

SOURCE: My camera erased my pictures

use a recover program...like the one used to recover data from formated dvds..and use it on your memory card, inserted into a card reader..I dont suggest you to use it in the camera
and you can do the same with moving pictures..use the copy/paste option...put them into the card...attention...only D40X made pictures..
good luck;)

SOURCE: Missing pictures

Hey flowernthe,
The error message “card cannot be read" means there was and error when the camera tried to access the memory card. To fix this you should make sure you are using the right kind of memory card, which for this kind of camera is a SD card, and it does not support SDHc cards. Since this camera uses SD cards I would make sure the slider on the side of the card is not set to the locked position. If this doesn't help I would make sure the memory card connecters are clean, and if they're not you can use a rubber eraser to clean them up. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Allan

SOURCE: uploading pictures back onto my camera

Set the camera to MTP instead of PTP in the settings menu on the camera. This will allow it to operate as a USB device instead of only interacting with the Nikon software.

Specifically...

Hit menu on the camera, go to the setup menu, and select USB and then make sure it's set to "Mass Storage" and not "PTP". Then connect the camera.

Hope this helps.

I have had success with this... Download the program

You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Start" and wait for it to do it's magic.

If you haven't done anything to the memory card since you deleted the pictures then you have a good chance to recover at least some of your pictures. Do a Google search for "data recovery software" and select a program for your computer and operating system. Put the card into a card reader attached to your computer and run the program.

I HAVE A CANON pOWER sHOT CAMERA WITH A MEMORY CARD, i PUT THE CARD IN MY LAPTOP, DOWNLOADED PICTURES, BUT WHEN I PUT THE CARD BACK IN THE CAMERA IT SAYS CARD LOCKED AND THE CAMERA WILL NOT WORK.

Look on the one side of the card, you will see a small button and slide him in the other position. Try if it work. That button protect the card from accidental deleting of data

I was taking pictures and I had looked at them and when I got home they are missing off my camera what can i do to recover this pictures

In this case you may try some photo recovery software to recover these pictures, here are some programs you may rely on. Both programs can also recover videos and music.
Photo Recovery Software (for Windows)
Mac Photo Recovery Software (for Mac OS X)

Note: Before your pictures are recovered, do not attempt to save more files to the camera memory card in case the original files(your pictures) are overwritten.

I accidentally somehow deleted some photos from my Sony DSC-H50

First of all, do not save any new file to camera's memory card.

Take out memory card, and connect it to computer using a card reader. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in Windows Explorer.
Download this camera photo recovery software called asoftech phtoo recovery from link below
Camera picture recovery software
Install and open the photo recovery software, select the memory card, and click 'Start' button.
