SOURCE: How to change blade on 10" Craftsman table saw?

you need to grab the blade with something.maybe some pliers(if you are not going to refurbish blade) and loosen the nut in the center of the blade. i think it is a left hand thread(cw to loosen) because of the rotation of the blade. if the nut is on the left when looking from the front it is probably left handed. make sure it's unplugged and wear leather gloves so you don't get cut. install in reverse...

SOURCE: New or used motor for a Craftsman 10" table saw

You can try Sears but they can be a bit pricey. I use to send out motors for a factory I worked in to a rebuilder who would even do new windings. Check in your area for a rebuilder, As for the replacement being a Sears unit they may have a similar motor in stock. Good luck.

My 10 in. Craftsman table saw is blowing the house circuit breaker

If it was the bearings you would probably hear a change in the sound of the saw before a significant amount of drag would cause this problem. If you are using the same outlet and the same cords as when you did not have this problem, then something has deteriorated. Is the blade sharp? Has the cord become compromised - either the wire itself or the plug? (The stranded wire in the cord could be hanging on by a few remaining strands.) Does the plug fit nice and tight in the outlet? Perhaps the motor has overheated and has partially shorted out some of the windings. On the other hand, if you have changed extension cords, perhaps the cord is too light or long.

Table Saw stops and won't restart

On some motors they are not sealed saw dust gets in the motor and can cause them to overheat they have a themal coupler built in the motor it is being tripped .On sears you can got to sears replacement parts and get a new coupler. If you are not familiar with electric motors. Please take the motor off unplugged!!! mark the ends and caps with a mark or line so you can line them back up on either end .Remove the covers on the ends clean out the motor if full of stuff blow out or use a can of electric motor cleaner available auto parts stores clean all parts find the coupler go to craftsman parts they have a parts diagram online so you can identify it replace it try again if it still does it replace the motor or the saw.
