SOURCE: I just bought an xbox and played games for a few

If your Xbox 360 does not have display you need to stop the heat getting to the chips. You can actually do this yourself as many have in this forum using the recommended Xbox 360 Repair guide.

Basically the guide will show you how to stop the heat build up with videos and household items, of course if you are in doubt send it in.

It has a preview video on the website.

Or of course you can send it in to have it fixed.

SOURCE: Status Code: 69-807b0191 I'm trying to play a

i got the same error status code: 69-807b0191 when i tried to play my videos on my new xbox from my computer through my router like i always did with my old xbox. idk if ur talking about actually putting a DVD in and the error came up or if ur in the same situation as me but if u r then go on ur computer to the video file that ur trying to play, then right click on it and click "Share..." and a new window will pop up, click the drop down menu and select "everyone (all users in this list)" ur xbox mac address should b one of the selections but just click on 'everyone'.. after that click the "share" button at the bottom and wait for it to take effect, after its done u can close the window and now go to ur xbox and it should play the file with no problems

Insert the DVD into the Xbox DVD tray then close the tray.

There's really nothing special you need to do.

I can´t play Windows Movie Films on my X-Box 360?!?! Can I Download a codec for this???I have some clips in Windows Media type on a CD. but my X-Box Can´t play that!!! Why???

Most likely there is not a codec available. If your Xbox is connected to the internet it will download the codecs if it can when you try to play the file. If not you can do what I did and download TVersity at www.tversity.com. This will stream movies from your computer to your laptop if they are on the same network, I use it to watch movies I have on my computer on my tv via my xbox. Anything your computer can play your xbox can play.

Have to re-sign in and update my xbox everytime i turn it on

you should be able to fix movie problem by making a new profile on the xbox and downloading everthing again, you'll need the media update to play the movies so just start a movie on the new profile and it will auto update.this is a licence problem and thats how i fix it. but this is the proper way click link http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox360/licensemigration/faq.htm

Games freeze but when I watch a movie the console works

it sounds like there is a problem with your disc tray, typically movies will play slower and have less potential for being thrown out of sync and out of line. With a faster rotating disc you have more potential to mess something up. I would suggest laying the xbox flat (longwise) on a stable/level ground and trying it again. This should clear up your problem.
Although you can play xbox on the side it is easier on the machine if you have it the traditional longway down.
hope this helps.
