SOURCE: power supply to garmin zumo 450
When I installed the Garmin cradle for my Zumo 450 on my bike I installed the power cable directly to the Main line going into my headlight.I then ran the cable out of the back of the headlight and hid it behind my windshield and then, out through the handle bars up to the cradle, you can barely see it. Works great for me!
Hope this helped,

SOURCE: I have to connect 2
1. Most public librarys carry a series of books by "Chilton" or "Hayes" which are basically illustrated guides to rebuilding every make and model of non-commercial vehicle.
2. The black can most likely be connected to the negative terminal of the battery.
3. The red is typically connected to the "accessory" position of the ignition switch. Often, you can simply crimp a connector on the red wire, and insert it into one of the spare fuse locations in the fuse panel.

In my opinion I suspect either a bad internal connection to the built in speaker or a faulty Bluetooth connection. Does the problem occur on both the helmet and speaker? If so, then the unit has likley had a circuit malfunction. If the helmet works fine but not the speaker, then I'd guess a broken or damaged speaker and/or speaker wire. Crackling noise is typical for broken wires or lose connections. Any decent TV repair place would be able to sort through it about 10 mintues before you have to return to for factory repair.

I'd suggest you don't pay their bill! ****. You'll need to find the accessory supply and connect the red wire it to that. Goodness knows where they connected the black (negative wire) if they are that stupid. Don't trust their work - I home they did not work on your brakes.
