SOURCE: F&P GW509 Washing machine stopped and will not

Hi Slam just read your posting. Now on your model of machine the 2 reasons the machine will not power up if you 100% have power at the outlet is 1---The motor controller is faulty or 2---- Your pump is open circuit.Have you got or can you borrow an electrical test meter to test the pump to see if that is the problem? Please reply and let me know now you would like to proceed.Looking forward to your reply.

SOURCE: Whirlpool Calypso top load washing machine. No warning... no power. no breakers tripped! Outlest tested fine with another appliance.

It appears your timer/main controller/CCU has failed in this instance.

For replacement parts - head on over to or and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question

SOURCE: My candy model no. GO812

first thing to do is test the plug to assure that you have power going through the plug into the machine with a multimeter if you do have power going into the machine the next thing would be to follow the power to your control board and assure that you have power to the board as well if you are unable to do these type of tests i would suggest that you call in the calvary if you have any further questions message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped in your appliance situation Thanks again Rick

As you yourself have indicated, this is not a camera. I am unsure why you have posted this query in a forum dealing exclusively with cameras. If you ask again in a forum dealing with domestic appliances, some one there may be able to assist you.

3yo Samsung front load washer. If sits for more than a few mins after a load, it will not turn on. Nothing, no errors, dead. Unplug ~8sec and I hear a tiny click, plug it back in and it works fine.

It sounds like the interlock for the front door is dying, and keeps thinking that the front door is still open. When you pull the plug, it resets, and lets the machine turn on by clicking over into the "door closed and locked" setting.

Is there a reset button or someway to get the washer back on besides having to wait for it to come back

on some models the motor reset is done by unplugging it for a couple minutes then plug it back in, on others u can open and close the lid slightly not fully 6 times within a 12 second period and it will reset the motor. on others u have to push start, cancel or some other buttons, to reset appliance. u can check the manual or youtube on how to do ur specific model

The program feature on this isn't working. It did at one point, we used it a couple of times when we first bought it, but haven't in the past few months, I tried to set it tonight, and it doesn't seem to...

Have you tried unplugging the unit? Many of today's appliances have microprocessors in the unit's main board. The microprocessors tend to reset after leaving an appliance unplugged for a period of time. Sometimes the period of time for the unit to reset (being unplugged) can vary.

We came home from holidays a few years ago and the dishwasher (Westinghouse 905) just didn't turn on. We've tried it repeatedly since then and are unable to get it to turn on. The power point works for...

Appliances that sit without use, usually have more problems than just the original problem.

In your case I would first check the power conection on the dishwasher. located under the machine

If this is fine then I would move on to the door switch.

these are comon problems that could be inexpensive fixes.

No Power to washing machine

Peace Friend,
ngfam1 At your service!

With an error code the only way to find and to repair this is,

First unplug the washer and wait a few minutes then restart it like rebooting your computer when its acting strange!
If it corrects the problem GREAT!!! WE WIN!

How old is the washer?

If the appliance is 10 years old or more you it may not be advisable to put good money into bad!
New appliances are so much more efficient today that they can save you a lot of money in energy!!!!
Water,Electric and detergent! And put money back in your pocket!
The new appliance will pay for itself in only a few years!

If not only a trained laundry tech can make the electronic diagnoses.
Like we used to be able to fix my own cars, but not today they need diagnostic equipment!
Below I referred you to a great service nation wide!

If none of these tasks remedy the problem then here is a good company that's found nation wide.
A&E Factory Service
A&E has schedulers available to take appointments 24/7
And they do warranty work too, for most manufactures!
1(800) 905-9505

You will be fine
Bless You ngafm1
