Hi,can i stream movies to my viera tv.

You don't say what model TV you have, but probably. It's just a matter of how much more stuff you need to buy.

You need to connect your TV to your home network, ether via an Ethernet cable or a wireless adapter (which may or may not be built in to your model of TV) or via a separate Media Player box.

Once on your network, you connect the TV to the source of the videos/movies. The videos could be on the Internet or on your home network (you didn't say much about what you want to do). The Viera says it supports DLNA, so in theory, if you place a DLNA server on your network this could be used to send movies to the TV. You can get DLNA Server software for your home computer, for example, and put movies on the computer and play them on your TV.

You could also buy a separate box ("Media Player") and connect it to an HDMI port on your TV and let the box do all the work. For example, I use one called a WD TV Live from Western Digital and it knows how to access and play videos from all kinds of sources, such as DLNA servers or Windows or Linux network shares. It also has built-in wifi. This box lets my TV do all kinds of things it couldn't do otherwise because I have a really old TV.

Some people have their tablet computer all set up to stream videos and all they have to do is get the right app for the TV and tablet to display the videos on the TV screen.

There are a lot of ways to go about it, that's why I said "probably". You could get more specific answers if you provide more details about what you want to do.

Questions for you to think about are what is the source of the movies you want to play, i.e. where will they reside (in the "cloud", on a web site, on your home computer, cell phone, flash drive, etc.)and what are capabilities are built into your TV (what exact model TV is it)?

Sharing Media Videos via DLNA-Connect the Converted HD Videos MP4 to Droid X via...

DLNA for HD Videos Streaming:Camcorder Videos to Droid X with Compatible Format
Droid X DLNA-Stream Camcorder HD Videos from Windows 7 PC to Droid X,WD TV Live Hub via DLNA

I have recently setup DLNA between my Windows 7 PC and Droid X, and my other home devices like WD TV Live Hub. With HDMI cable connected between WD TV Live Hub to my HDTV, I can stream most of my videos from Windows 7 PC and watch on HDTV. But Droid X does not read the .mts files that I transferred to PC from my Sony Handycam CX700.

Actually, there are DLNA-certified cameras, which might be easily connected to Droid X via WiFi. But my camcorder is the non-DLNA compliant Sony CX700, thus I need to store the .mts files on Windows 7 PC. The mts videos play well via DLNA streaming from PC to WD TV Live Hub with HDTV. I was recommended to convert the camcorder videos in .mts to .mp4 for streaming to Droid X with Aunsoft Final Mate.

Aunsoft Final Mate works great for the CX700 videos. I just need to import videos to Final Mate, create a movie for conversion from the File menu (File > Create A Movie For Conversion), bring the clips to Movies tab. Click the Export button under the volume settings, and choose Droid X output profile to start conversion. You can also Free Download Final Mate with the trial version, and give it a try.

For those who may have problem Setting up DLNA Video Streaming, here I would like to give you the fast guide with my Windows 7 PC, WD TV Live Hub and Droid X.

1. Windows 7 PC is DLNA-compliant, and I just need to activate two services: SSDP Discovery and Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service.

2. Make sure the devices are in the same network, and put the video files to the video folder on Windows 7 for sharing.

3. WD TV Live Hub and Motorola Droid X are also DLNA-compliant. There is built-in DLNA application on Droid X, and is available in the Application tray. Just run DLNA to control or play videos on Droid X.

Below is the DLNA application on Droid X:

Turn on WiFi, and you will face the following screen for playing media, copying media to server, copying media to phone, or share media.

To stream and play the MP4 files converted from AVCHD files by Final Mate, just choose Play media, and Droid X will ask you to choose source, choose player, and start streaming.

With Final Mate, you can easily stream Camcorder Videos to Droid X with DLNA Compatible Format. Stream Sony XR550 AVCHD from PC to Panasonic TC-P50G25 via DLNA with PS3

PS3 DLNA Video-Play MTS/M2TS Videos from Computer to Non-DLNA TV with PlayStation 3
Full Guide to Setup Windows 7 for PS3 with DLNA Streaming to HDTV

The HDTV in my living room is non-DLNA compliant. It is the 50-inch Panasonic VIERA TC-P50G25 Plasma HDTV. Even though my PC is running Windows 7 with WMP 12, the videos could not be streamed to the Plasma TV via DLNA. It is quite inconvenient for home sharing.

When looking for the solution for playing videos from PC to non-DLNA TV, I got to know that I could download my Sony XR550 videos from camcorder to PC, connect PlayStation 3 to HDTV via HDMI cable as the media player - Stream Sony AVCHD from PC to Panasonic via DLNA with PS3. The PS3 is generally used as game console. I also use Aunsoft Final Mate to join the AVCHD files from my XR550 to manage the clips for certain occasion and events.

The first thing I do is to make sure PS3 can read the videos from PC. As Windows 7 is DLNA compliant, I just need to make sure the "Windows Media Player Sharing Service" is enabled automatically. Get the clips to the shared folder for video.

Note: The "Windows Media Player Sharing Service" is available in the Service section. Just right-click on My Computer > Manage > Services and Applications > Services, and you can find "Windows Media Player Sharing Service".

Wait for a while, and PS3 would read the video files from PC. Then for playing AVCHD files flawlessly via DLNA with PS3, we join clips from Sony XR550 into one large file. Run Aunsoft Final Mate, and go to the Resource tab to browse the folder with the .mts files from XR550. Click the Create New Movie button, drag and drop files from Resource tab to the movie ID. Click the Export button and the files will be joined seamlessly for DLNA sharing.

Tips:
If the PS3 does not display the PC as source folder, we shall allow the access to Windows 7 as media server.

Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change Advance Sharing Settings, and you would face the window like below:

Make sure the "Network discovery" and "File sharing" are selected as turn on. Go to the Media streaming section and click "Choose media streaming options..." to make sure you allow PS3 for streaming. Then PS3 would read video files from PC for HDTV playback.

DLNA Projector-Enjoy Vacation AVCHD videos on Projector with NAS sharing via...

Video Management for DLNA-Connect and Stream AVCHD Video to Projector via DLNA on NAS with Window 7 MTS/M2TS Joiner

We have a happy summer in Hawaii. With our travel companion, the compact Panasonic Lumix FZ100, we shot videos in 1920x1080 60i. But we got a large amount of clips when we connect the camera to PC from our vacation. Our PC with Windows Media Player 12 can play the videos, but we generally put the videos to NAS, so that our devices can find and enjoy/play Vacation videos on Projector via DLNA. I use the HD Writer AE, but could not join several clips in a quick and easy way.

My friend recommends me to use Aunsoft Final Mate, and it really does a good job with the preview. There seems no quality loss while the files are joined into one large file. What is more important, the whole process is done in a blink second.

It facilitates the Video Management for DLNA, which would be stored in NAS. We can not only play the videos on PS3 hooked to my Samsung HDTV, but also watch them on LCD projector connected to the HTPC. Below are my simple steps using Final Mate to merge AVCHD clips on Windows 7.

About DLNA Projector :

How to Merge AVCHD Videos and Connect/Stream to Projector via DLNA?

1. Import videos to Aunsoft Final Mate.
For the videos on PC hard drive, run Aunsoft Final Mate as MTS/M2TS joiner NAS sharing via DLNA, go to the Resource tab, and click the "Add file path" button to browse the folder with the .mts or .m2ts files.
For videos on camera, just use USB cable to connect camera to PC, and follow the pop-up message on Final Mate to import clips to Camcorder tab.

2. Merge AVCHD footage for lossless output.
Click the Create New Movie button, and a new Movie ID for lossless output will be created on Movies tab. Drag and drop the clips with the same event to the Movie ID. For another event or other clips, just create another lossless movie.

3. Get AVCHD file for DLNA sharing.
Click the Export button under the volume settings, and click the OK button to start joining AVCHD files into one large file.

So no matter you are using Popcorn Hour, PlayStation 3, NAS from Netgear, Synology, QNAS, LCD projectors like LG HS200 or other home projectors, you can easily Stream and Play HD videos with projector via DLNA.

TV via DLNA-Playback AVCHD MTS/M2TS files on the big Screen TV via DLNA

Watch/Play Videos via DLNA-Connect variety PC/Camera/Device to TV via DLNA
Enjoy AVCHD M2TS recordings on DLNA certified TV via DLNA

How would you Enjoy/Watch/Play Videos via DLNA on a DLNA-certified TV? It would be perfect if your camcorder is also certified with DLNA. The most important element is the home network. However, there is a limited amount of AVCHD camcorders for DLNA. So you would need a PC connected to HDTV via home network, and watch them in the living room with your family and friends.

First of all, let's take a look at the supported file formats by DLNA.
Media Format:
Image: JPEG PNG, GIF, TIFF
Audio: LPCM AAC, AC-3, ATRAC 3plus, MP3, WMA9
Video: MPEG2 MPEG-1, MPEG-4*, AVC, WMV9

AVCHD files in .mts and .m2ts encoded in MPEG-4/AVC are supported for streaming through DLNA. However, when you play different files, there would be buffering for loading each file. Aunsoft Final Mate is the recommended AVCHD joiner for lossless DLNA streaming formats. You can join the clips into one single file, Connect and enjoy HD recordings on HDTV.

Part 1: Lossless join AVCHD for DLNA streaming on your networked PC

Step 1. Import AVCHD MTS/M2TS files to Aunsoft Final Mate.
Run Aunsoft Final Mate, and you can capture videos from the camcorder connected to PC through the pop-up wizard. Alternatively, for the videos on hard drive, just the "Add file path" and browse the folder with .mts or .m2ts files from hard drive.

Step 2. Join AVCHD for DLNA.
Click the "Create New Movie" button on Movies tab for lossless output, drag and drop clips from Camcorder tab or Resource tab to the Movie ID. When files are dropped into one movie ID, the clips will be joined as a single file. You can create another movie for different events, and enjoy AVCHD files via DLNA.

Step 3. Export MTS/M2TS file for DLNA streaming.
Click the "Export" button, and then the OK button. The MTS/M2TS joiner for HDTV will start combining short clips without delay/pause, retaining the native format as DLNA supported file.

Part 2: Enjoy AVCHD recordings on DLNA certified TV

Step 1. Add lossless videos to your designating folder on PC for sharing to DLNA certified TV.
In this process, certain PC share manager software may be needed according to different DLNA certified TV sets. Let me take SAMSUNG PC Share Manager as an example. After you install manager software, a simple way to share videos on your home network is to create and name specific folders on PC for DLNA certified TV to access. Create a new folder on your networked pc, and then name it accordingly, for example "Videos". Copy or load in converted HD videos to the folder you want to access.

PC Share Manager will only access those folders you designate as being shared. Here's how to do that. Select a folder you would like to share, or create a new folder for sharing.

Step 2: Enjoy AVCHD recordings in your DLNA certified TV
Accessing the joined AVCHD files is as easy as pushing the WiseLink button on your Samsung HDTV. Make sure that your media server or networked PC is turned on and the PC Share Manager application is running so that WiseLink Pro can find your shared files and folders.

You can access WiseLink Pro directly from your remote, or from the main menu. (The red Device button, located directly below the Info button on your remote control, lets you choose between one or more networked PCs and the WiseLink USB connector on the side of your Samsung HDTV.) Once you have started WiseLink Pro, you will see the main menu shown below.

Then you can choose the AVCHD files for playback on the big screen TV via DLNA, and share videos at home.

Tips:
1. Aunsoft Final Mate also supports 64-bits and 32-bits system.

2. In case that your HDTV does not support AVCHD format yet, you would need to convert AVCHD to TV supported format like .mpg. Just create movie for conversion in Step 2 of Part I on Aunsoft Final Mate.
