My greenstar 25si/30si burner light is not coming on after a long power cut

We have just had a 3 days without electricity and now cannot start up my mother's greenstar 25si/30so LPG comb boiler. The burner on indicator light does not stay on and mains on/off indicator+fault light starts flasing after a short time. Do you have any idea what the problem is?

a couple of things , is your filling loop disconected ? , and are all your radiators blead from air, have you got a high point where the air can get stuck in system say pipes going into roof etc you may need to fit a air release valve in line at highest point to remove the air from system , your boiler should be around 1.5 bar running preasure average setting . if you are constanly filling with water you could be exceeding the pressure valve limet which releases pressure from system this could be faulty ?

When spark start and burner lights up and spark finish gas cuts off (cut off valves) and burner stops . Why is that.

Hi there may be a number of factors involved with this appliance,
1. if you are opening a hot tap/faucet only slightly there may not be enough water flow to keep the burner alight. try turning on the tap alot at first then decrease the flow to your required amount
2. there may be a blockage or partial blockage in your gas supply.
3. water may have entered the casing and got into the electrical componenets of burner jets
And lastly if your Rheem unit is past its warranty & you can't get a service technician out to check it, then your last resort would be to get a qualified person to have a look at it
