Have you tried to disable your firewall? Also open internet explorer, select tools, internet options, connections, LAN Settings, Click Automaticly detect settings, select ok/close, restart internet explorer. let me know if that works.

Enable the Wireless Zero Configuration service so it starts up automatically, go to the Start button. Select the Settings option and then select Control Panel. If you are using the Windows XP view, select the Performance and Maintenance category and then select Administrative Tools. If you are using the Classic View, then select Administrative Tools. Click the Services icon in the left pane. Click the Wireless Zero Configuration icon in the right pane and change the Startup Type dropbox to Automatic. I have a Belkin wireless router connected to a Virgin modem. Always has worked fine with a Compaq laptop and 2 Dell Inspiron netbooks with excellent signal. Now have tried to connect with an Acer Revo rl...

The router is designed in such a that it is compatible with all the computers. The best way to get rid of this issue is log into the router interface and change the wireless channel to suit your requirement.
1) To begin with.. Open internet explorer on a computer connected to the router and delete everything from the address bar and type and hit enter. Now you will be in the Belkin Router setup. It will ask for a login password when you click on anything.. Leave the password field blank and click on submit. 2) Towards the left side under wireless click on "Channel and SSID". Now you see wireless channel change it to different channel and click on "OK / Save". Now check the signal strength in your Acer computer. If its still the same try different channel and check.
Hope this helped.

Our internet is working fine with everything except my xbox. I either cant connect to xbox live or i cant stay connected. ive tried everything i can think of to fix it.

First of all, the wireless thing for the Xbox is a waste of money, when i had mine, it would always lose connectivity. Anyway make sure the device is not next to anything that gives off frequencies as that may cause the connectivity issue (microwaves etc....)

Light is turning red not green and sometimes dosent come on when xboox is turned on

the adapter only comes on usually when the xbox is turned on and booting itself up. try restarting the xbox over and over again and replugging in the adapter. If the light is red that meanes its on and running but cannot connect to your router or modem etc. if this is happening reconfig your connection so it recognizes your router.IMPORTANT: if you have security on your router you must enter everything in before you can connect. If your adapter still doesnt read your router you must be out of range or the router is not putting out a signal.

We have a Intel wireless-G 2.4 GHz and everything was fine until we moved last week. Now the internet works on this computer that is directly hooked to it and the wireless seems to work but I can't get...

Your Intel wireless-G 2.4Ghz is defective, all you have to do is test another wireless LAN to make it sure that is working via USB panel.
I encounter this kind of problem and wish it would be the same like me. Usually this kind of problem cannot see itself that is defective but it is working good to your PC.
Just try a new wireless LAN if might work.
Good luck!

If i am helpful please rate me.
Thank you.

Trouble with Linksys Wireless Router

Try unplugging both the modem and the router. count to 15 then plug back in and try.
Keep in mind also that some routers dont connect 100% till you open a browser, weird but I have had similar problems.
It sounds like you may have problems at both ends.
Several things come to my mind;
make sure you shut down ALL programs in the background.

you are trying to problem solve by elimination, so close anything that may connect to the internet and take away that variable.

scan for spyware etc.

do a registry clean, temp files cleanup etc.

sometimes restarting the pc can help
good luck

Wireless problem

that's because your windows wireless is most likely conflicting with the actual wireless device manager..only one can do the job..

3COM Office Connect 3CRUSB10075

are you using windows xp? vista? 98?

I'll guess at xp.(and that you're using the windows software to connect)

Double click the wireless connection icon in the bottom right (the one that flickered when you're online.

Click 'view wireless connections'

click 'change the order of preferred networks'

Now select everything on the list and delete it apart from your own.

Now click 'advanced'

make sure 'automatically connect to non-prefurred networks' is NOT ticked.

Click close, then ok.

You should be ok now.
