If your air conditioner displays E1 in the display
panel and won't turn on, it means that the Room Thermistor (a device connected
to the thermostat that detects room temperature) is shorted or defective, and
you need to have your air conditioner serviced
E1 means that the main motor is working to hard so the machine is keeping you from burning it up, make sure the handwheel feels smooth when turning if it doesnt clean your hook area and take the side cover off and make sure no thread is caught in the take-up lever
This has happens to us regularly. Today when it happened I unplugged
the oven and let the it cool hoping that would help. It didn't. I did
that several times over a couple of hours to no avail. When it powers
up, there are a sequence of different readings on the screen before the
error code comes up. In my final effort, just before the code F2:E1 appeared, and
it read PF, I quickly turned on the oven and that interrupted the
sequence. It is now working. Lucky. I hope this helps someone.
