Sorry but seams to be the plasma panel defective. If it's vertical allways when i fond like that was the plasma panel. You have few chances to be one connector on the addres board. Open the tv and check them.

It's a symptom of what everyone refers to as vertical banding. Have you tried a light grey screen to check for banding? It may be that there is a brightness difference between two bands that causes the line to appear darker. You may also find that there is more banding in other areas of the screen than you have realized.
but there's no simple solution; though some claim that unplugging everything from the tv and unplugging the tv power for 24hrs will help. I think that's a crock, but you can try it.
do you have a warranty?

All plasma an lcd tvs have boards that control vertical and horizontal output to their respective areas. They are connected to the screen by ribbon cables. If one of these boards fails all together, has a failed chip, a bad connection, or a bad ground somewhere it will result in a black line in the area of that board. A bad ribbon cable connection on the bottom will result in a vertical black bar though the screen. Many times reseating the connection will fix it, if the ribbon cable has been nicked there could be a severed connection. They can sometimes be fixed, but it is a pain. An yes I have done it, and the bar is gone. The same will happen if the chip that outputs to that area opens. The connectors are the first place to look paying close attention to the cable, they are extremely delicate so great care must be taken if you decide to tinker with em, the usually have lift locks that release them, but it is very easy to wreck em. Good luck.

There are 4 or 5 ribbon cables on the bottom or on one side, they control part of the plasma screen. Check the ribbon cablenear the black lines. Unplug the ribbon cable and look for black chipson the underside of it, I think they say 100 on them, you need toresolder both ends on each chip. Should fix the black line issue.
