SOURCE: RCA D52W20 Flyback Question

The wire comes out by pressing the two tabs in and pulling real hard, You will be happy to know that the replacement IHVT comes with a HV cable since 9 time out of 10 you end up damaging the IHVT cable connection. In any event before checking the IHVT I would suggest looking at CP150, CP120 and CP140 to see if they are puffy, since this is a common problem in this set.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,

The diagnostic light, for this particular model, means that there is either a short circuit on the loudspeaker leads or there is an internal amplifier fault that is causing a DC offset. In order to determine which, disconnect all RCA and speaker leads while keeping the +12 volt, power ground and remote leads connected. Now turn the amplifier back on, and if the diagnostic LED lights up, the amp has an internal fault. If not, plug the RCA cables back in and reset the amp. If it goes into diagnostic now, the problem is with the input (either bad cables or a faulty head unit). If the amp is fine with the RCA cables plugged in, repeat the process with the speaker cables (one at a time). When you plug in the faulty speaker wire it will put the amp into diagnostic mode.

When I turn on the tv I have very little sound and after a few minutes I lose that. Picture is clear so I don't think it is a connection problem.

Let verify first to narrow down to where the problem can be, attach the powered PC speakers to the Audio Line out RCA jacks to see if you can get the sound there, if you do, then the problem can be in the power amp circuits, if you do not get the sound at RCA jacks, then the problem can be in the sound processor circuit. Please post back what you find.

Location of inverter pins on the motherboard K000009080

The black and white wire are for your wireless card probably, they usually have GOLD connectors, and are labled, on the wire with a lable, and on your wireless card, it will be inserted in the pci slot there are two gold "Tabs" that the wires (Black and white) snap on to. the display cable your talking about usually has an "adapter" that will fit in a slot on the board, the board has a "channel" to route these wires, and "Tuck" them in, do this, and the cables will lead to there connections themselves, You may also need to back away for about an hour, you may be looking to hard, ( it has happened to me in the past) and the answer is looking right at you. Good luck, I appreciate a fixya rating if this answers your question. Thanks

Rca l32wd250 telivision

I have seen this posted on Google under RCA service bulletin #TV09-001 which states it is an open fuse on the digital board causing the symptoms. Not something I would recommend for a consumer to fix since it is a surface mounted fuse that is soldered to the circuit board. Very repairable by a service center. Good luck!

RCA 27R410T my tv turns itself off and on

My one year old 24" RCA was having the same problem and also changing channels on its own. I decided to do some experimenting. (Warning: High voltages exist inside a TV even when it is unplugged. Messing around inside a TV may be very dangerous and stupid.)

I found that there was a 5 wire ribbon cable that connected the circuit board with the front control buttons to the main circuit board. I discovered that if I turned the TV on, then disconnected that ribbon cable from the main circuit board, the TV was stable, it would not do anything on its own. Obviously, I could not control it either with the ribbon cable disconnected.

Since there did not appear to be any ic chips on the button circuit board, but mainly some resistors, I theorized that the buttons simply caused a certain voltage signal to be returned to the main board. I further theorized that perhaps the voltage being sent to the board was varying causing the return voltage to also varying making the main board thing a control signal had been sent.

The five wires are labled on the small control circuit board. One was labeled "key". (or maybe "keys") I separated and cut that wire. The TV was then stable. It could be controlled by the remote control, but the buttons on the front were now not functional.

I connected some longer wires to the "key" wires and ran them outside to a switch. The TV now works fine with the remote control and is stable and will not do anything on its own. If for some reason I do need to use the manual buttons on the front, I can simply flip the switch on and the buttons will work. However if I leave the switch on the TV will again be unstable, turning itself on and off and changing channels.

That is how I "fixed" my RCA.
