It's the 4.5 version you need for Windows XP - and don't forget to install the PCI Performance enhancer if you don't want the video and audio to be asynchronous.

The problem is not the Microsoft certification. The certification request is prompted only before installation. Its only effect is allowing or denying the drivers installation.
Pinnacle website has two different driver versions. Try both versions. If that does not work there is usually a conflict in allocation of system resources.
