How or what setting do you turn on to get cold air

Make sure the thermostat is turned to below what the room tempeture is. Make sure that the unit is in the cooling and not just the fan.

Good luck,

Marty

did you set dip switchs on new stat for ht pump with electric ht back up if that is your type of heat. newer t stats might not have dip switchs but a sequence of programing steps to set up new stat to match your needs ps when set up correctly the fan will run for a few minutes after cycle over to discharge residual heat from unit n ducts .

Hello, The fan on the outside condensor (38tkb042300) runs for about 45 mins and stops. Turning it off and back on will produce the same results, might you help me understand what could be causing...

There are many possible reasons why it happens that way. Basically, when the unit have reached the desired room temparature, compressor stops as will as the condenser fan. Please try to set your thermostat at its coldest setting, if the fan at the outside condenser still stops, consider replacing your thermostat, it migth be defective.

My name is Sonny i have a question i just installed strip heat Rheem RXBH-1724A10J 10KW 208/240/1/60 and then tempeture ran up 3 degree and stop dose not ran anymore what wrong with that can you help me...

Check temp setting must be +5 degree than room temp and also in heat "mode".
Check heating sensor placed perfectly. If not fix it in it's place. As it's running for 3 degree, your wiring no fault will be there.

I have a kenmore elite electric dryer it is not generating hot air, its just room tempeture? Is this something I can possibly fix or should I just have it repaired?

Depends on your abilty to troubleshoot... Might be a bad temp sensor, might be the element itself, then again might be the controller all of which require you to disassemble and use a digital multi-meter to figure out what failed.

Peace,

Oven will not reach set tempeture. I set it for 350, but after 2 hrs it had only reached a tempeture of 230.

HI, You will need to check the oven sensor wires that link the actual sensor to the main control board. Make sure that the contacts are connected properly, and not loose, or corroded. If all the wiring checks out, test the sensor for the correct resistance readings.(you will need a multimeter for this test)

The most common oven sensor should be approximately, 1100 ohms when at room temperature. The others may be close to as follows:

100°F - 1143 ohms
200°F - 1350 ohms
300°F - 1553 ohms
350°F - 1654 ohms
400°F - 1753 ohms
500°F - 1949 ohms

If the sensor test is adequate, and the wiring is Ok at the control, this will lead to a failed control board. replace the control in this case.

Sensor location

The sensor is, generally, located inside the oven, mounted on the back wall, on the top right, or left corner. There will be two screws holding the housing on the back of the oven wall. Once the screws are removed, the sensor will need to be extracted from the back side of the unit.

Freezing at any tempeture

I ordered a new thermostat (about $40 with shipping) & installed it. It's pretty easy to replace. The fridge has been working fine since.
