SOURCE: hp psc 750 xi how to replace black ink cartridge

1) Pull out your old black ink cartridge, py pressing the button on top of the old cartridge and pulling it down.It will be released, then just get it out.
2) Look at the back of your new ink cartridge, there should be a small panel with some small squares and kinda orange panel, this is the side that should not face you, it should face the ink cartridge holder on the printer.
Just put it in like that. Tell me if you have any problems.

Be sure the printer is powered on as it needs power to move the cartridges - this is a common mistake.

SOURCE: Canon MP530 print head malfunction

I had the same problem with my printer. There is a switch that tells the printer that the cover is open or closed. Unplug the printer. Open up the printer cover and look on the inside right side edge. About half way back, you'll see a 3/4 inch by 1/2 inch hole where this switch resides. If you put your finger into it, you may be able to push on a lever and it will go down. It should spring back up when you pull your finger out. If you can feel the lever but it just sits at the bottom then there either this lever is broken or the spring fell off.

The problem with my printer was the spring had popped out. To access the switch, you'll need to remove the right side cover. Do this by removing the two screws in the back on the right side. Open the printer cover and find the third screw. It is located on the right hand side, near the front of the printer, on the top. Remove this screw and pop out the cover and see if you can find the spring that is attached to the lever. Make sure you do this in an area that if a small piece fell out you could find it.

Look at the switch and lever. If there is no spring attached to the lever then it is most likely the problem, otherwise the switch may be bad or the electronics inside the printer. There is a hook on the lever and one on the printer. Reconnect the spring and it should fix the problem. I found my spring had completely fallen out and fell on the floor when the cover was opened. It is possible that this spring if fallen out can fall back inside the printer so you may have to shake the printer to find this little spring. It is about 1/2 inch long. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: canon mx300 states error 5100 check printer. when

Hi You can Try 2 things.

ERROR 5100 means that there is some foreign object blocking your cartridges carriage that disables it from moving. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there

Next try.

It may be a piece of paper or a scotch tape or a staple wire.
Solution 1:
Clean the timing strip.

Solution 2:
The purge cap (the white sliding mechanism that the print head parks to when it's not in use) may be not lubricated well enough .

Lubricate the sliders with some white grease (don't get it on the small wipers or the black caps); this repair probably require to remove the right panel off of the printer to gain access to the purge mechanism.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Replacing cartdiges in sx 200 epaon

Press the ink button on the control panel repeatedly. This will work if at least one cartridge is completely out. With the scanner unit open, then the first press of the ink button will move the cartridge carrier to line up the empty cartridge with an "empty cartridge" mark on the printer. Each subsequent press will cause the next empty cartridge to line up with the mark. Once all of the empty cartridges have been indicated, the next press of the ink button will bring the cartridges into the replacement position.

If you want to change a cartridge when none are empty, you need to enter the Epson Toolbox (with the printer in a Ready state - scanner unit closed, etc). Then use the software to set the printer to change the ink cartridges. When prompted by the software, open the scanner unit and follow the directions for changing the ink cartridges.

If the cartridge carrier isn't moving when you press the ink button, look for anything blocking the path of the carrier. Even small pieces of paper could stop the mechanism. Use a flashlight to check the corners. (You may want to unplug the printer and try moving the cartridge carrier by hand to check below it.) Some models have the cartridge carrier run on a plastic strip that can come out of the guide on the back. Move the strip back and up and down until it is repositioned.

I hope this helps.

I have forgotten how to move the ink cartridges into a position where they can be changed.

Turn on the printer. Open the top of the printer to expose the ink cartridge compartment. Hit the "Stop" button. This will cause the printer head to move so that one of the two ink cartridges move above the "No Ink" icon. Hit the "Stop" button again. It will move the other ink cartridge above the "No Ink" icon if it needs to be replaced. The printer head will move to the original position to the right.

Dear sir or madam I am trying desperately to make my printer work yet i keep getting the same error saying that the printer carage is stuck. you help is appriciated Sincerely. Harel.

The printer cartridge cannot move inside. What you need to do is to reset it. Just open the cover of your printer to access the printer cartridge. It is where your ink is located. Reset the ink. It should work.

NOTE: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the wall outlet before doing the troubleshooting steps.

Most printers are the same so: open printer top - inks with automatically move to the centre - press down, although do not force, the end of the cartridge closest to you (which dislodges the cartridge) lift out and replace with - after removing protective covers - new cartridge, by reverse action.

My ink will not move to the side when I open the

Just make sure the printer is on when you lifted up the top cover for the ink cartridge holder to move to the right side.

You may also try this, try copying a blank paper, look inside the printer when you see the ink cartridges move in the side, disconnect immediately the power cord at the back of the printer. Now lift up the top cover and replace the ink cartridge.

How do I change the ink on my Canon MX320

Just open the top cover together with the scanner bed.
When the cartridge carrier move in the middle of the printer, that is the time you can replace the catridge. Lift up the top cover for the cartridge carrier and then the cartridges.

When replacing the cartridge. Push the cartridge down the carrier, you will hear a snapping sound. Return the top cover for the carrier and the scanner bed.

Cannot tell which inkjet color cartridge needs changing

Disregard the monitor information and rely on the printer.

On the left panel of the printer are your indicator lights and buttons. Push the button immediately to the left of the 'ink drop' light [looks like a little tear drop]. Open the cover and the printhead assembly will move to the left and stop. Look very closely and find that little 'ink drop' imprinted into the plastic in the very middle of the printer where the printhead assembly stopped. That 'ink drop' will line up wih the ink cartridge that needs replacing. Push that button on the left again and the printhead assembly will either return to the 'replace' position, or move to the next ink cartridge that needs replacing. Keep pushing that button just once at a time until the printhead assembly identifies all cartridges that need replacing and moves into the 'replace' position. This 'replace' position will be on the right side of the printer where the opening occurs that allows the top cover of the printhead assembly to open.

Change the appropriate cartridges and you should be good to go.

Trying to change ink cartridge in canon pixma 3000

Hi

If you are replacing. Power on - lift top front lid of printer - wait till cartridges come to centre and stop FULLY. Lift clear tab at front of cartridge being replaced and remove cartridge. Insert new cartridge -press top fron down until clear tab clicks then shut top lid of printer.
Then go Start-Programs- Printers select the Ip3000 priter icon, right click - select maintenance - selelct nozzle check and follow instructionson screen. You may have to do a deep clean (ee on screen) if the ink has dried a bit in the printhead.

If tryinmg to refill the cartridge - unless you are an expert at it forget it - buy either genuine or quality aftermarket cartridges - No mess - no fuss - no ruined printer .
